1. Todd Gurley

I know. Gurley scored a touchdown in all but two games for the Atlanta Falcons this year, meaning he should start right? Wrong.

The Saints have allowed the second-fewest rushing yards per game in the league at 76.8 yards per game and also pose the No. 3 rush defense in the league.

Todd Gurley won’t be the first RB since Nov. 19th of 2017 to rush over 100 yards on the Saints run defense that now features Kwon Alexander.

They have also only surrendered two rushing touchdowns in 9 games. Because of this, I envision it would be rather difficult for the Falcons to establish their run game. The only way Atlanta is winning this game is through the air, not on the ground.

Gurley is a talented back but to start him this week would be extremely risky. This isn’t the Broncos or Lions we’re talking about, it’s the NOLA. If you truly have no other option, I would say he is a borderline RB2 and a high-end flex play. Ultimately, I would sit him as I think his production takes a halt this week.
