Week 11 of the NFL season is upon us. Thursday Night Football was a dandy, but it’s now in the rearview mirror. Sunday is right around the corner.
Last week, I covered three quarterbacks to buy, along with three quarterbacks to sell. I will be covering the polarizing topic again, but it’s crucial that I remain honest and follow up with last week’s performance.
“You can plan a pretty picnic, but you can’t predict the weather!” – Outkast. Quick Week 10 recap: Last week’s article was written before the weather reports came out of Cleveland. Both Baker Mayfield and Deshaun Watson struggled to do much of anything because of the 50mph winds on the field. Unfortunately, Jared Goff’s fantasy production was limited by the Rams using short runs for all of their touchdowns.
Matthew Stafford had a great first three quarters, then held his breath as Lions narrowly escaped blowing a 24-3 lead. In New England, Bill Bellichek’s weather machine was in full force. Cam Newton only had 118 passing yards and 21 rushing yards on 11 carries. Luckily, he was able to score both a passing and rushing touchdown. Lastly, Kirk Cousins was able to finally win a Monday Night Football game, throwing for 292 yards and two touchdowns.
