Waiver Wire-Week 12

By: Chris Robin (Twitter: @DetroitBeastie)

Have you survived? Eleven weeks in the books now. Are you still in the running? Playoff spot? Number one overall seed? Or number one overall draft selection next season?

With the Thanksgiving holiday kicking off today it’s time to now face the music. You are likely set to make a playoff run, or you are likely out.

All in all, it’s time to put the pedal to the metal. Waivers are becoming all the more crucial, as trades are wrapping up. With waivers being so intriguing, it’s important to note that they’re becoming all the more juicier, via rookies breaking out, and vets returning from injury.

Waiver Wire for Week 12 is hot, and we’re going to break it down. Let’s get the ball rolling.

Derek Carr (QB – Las Vegas Raiders)

Carr looked good on Sunday night vs. Kansas City, didn’t he? Unfortunately, the opposing QB just happened to be Patrick Mahomes.

Derek Carr has averaged around 240 passing yards a game so far this season along with 16 total TDs.

Looking ahead Vegas faces off with Atlanta and the New York Jets in Week 12 and Week 13. Both plus match-ups in some of the most important fantasy weeks of the season!

Daniel Jones (QB – New York Giants)

Hey Joe Burrow owners, lend me your ear for a moment. In the wake of rookie QB Joe Burrow tearing his knee up Sunday, we’re left high and dry at QB.

Look into adding Danny Dimes. Jones was heavily dropped after Week 10 when NYG headed into their bye week.

@CIN @SEA and home vs. ARZ are his next three match-ups. If you look deeper you’d notice those are three fantasy-friendly match-ups for Daniel Jones.

Taysom Hill (QB – New Orleans Saints)

Won’t spend much time on Hill here seeing how he’s been all the buzz for several days. To be honest I’m shocked he saw 100% of the QB snaps.

I was wrong! Taysom was able to rush for two touchdowns and went 18-23 and accumulated 233 passing yards. In Week 12, New Orleans heads to DEN and their middle of the road defense. Taysom is once again a high floor QB option.
