Allen Robinson is a strong player to have on your roster for fantasy playoffs. Robinson will have games against the Texans, Vikings and Jaguars in Weeks 14-16. These are all quite favorable matchups.
This upcoming week, however, is not; in tandem with the sub-par quarterback play in Chicago, he’s not worth the risk in Week 12.
The Green Bay Packers are 24th in fantasy points allowed to WRs, and have the 13th ranked pass defense this season. In their Week 10 loss, Allen had just six catches for 43 yards against the 24th ranked Vikings pass defense.
In addition, Robinson also falls victim to the divisional matchup pitfalls. Not only do they play the Packers twice a year and are more familiar accordingly, but Green Bay is also fighting fervently for the top NFC seed they forfeited to New Orleans.
That, and there’s a potential quarterback controversy in Chicago between Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles after the bye week. This is never something you want your wide receivers entangled in.
While Robinson has the potential to be an elite receiver, he’s unfortunately fallen victim to team struggles this season, and looks ahead to an unfavorable matchup for wide receivers, against a divisional rival at that.
