Everybody’s favorite has to make the list. All jokes aside, this is a no-brainer. If the Jets grabbed 6 wins in 2020, it would be deemed likely that Gase would be shown the door. Now it seems inevitable with “0” wins.
Gase has been forced to work with a atorcious roster for New York–potentially the worst Jets roster of this century, but his team can’t find a way to finish.
His expertise isn’t showing up in the QB play, as well. Darnold and Flacco haven’t been able to have one Top-10 performance thus far. The only thing Gase can do is run behind Mekhi Becton and feed 8+ targets a game to Denzel Mims–both rookies.
If Gase doesn’t get at least a .500 record moving forward, he will surely be gone. The tough requirement is because he’s in a hole. A 0-11 hole.
