Week 13: Top-5 Sleeper RBs

By: Gladys Louise Tyler

Welcome to the last week before fantasy football playoffs begin! Hopefully, you are sitting pretty and do not have that added stress of being on the cusp of making the fantasy playoffs. But if you are like me and have lost the last three weeks…that is not an option–Winning Week 13 is imperative.

With that said, here are five running backs you need to run to the waiver wire (see what I did there) and pick up. Two are returning because some of you did not pay attention last time.

Here we go.

FRANK GORE, NEW YORK JETS, 25% ROSTERED

I get it. Gore plays for a team that has not won a game all season. He plays in an Adam Gase coordinated offense. He’s old. But you know what else he is? He is the top option in that backfield.

Week 12, in a game that was over in the first quarter (despite the score being tied 3-3, we all knew), Gore carried the ball 18 times! He had 74 rushing yards. And he was targeted three times for three receptions, adding 12 receiving yards.

In pivotal Week 13, the Jets will play the Las Vegas Raiders, who just gave up a 12-65-1 stat line to Ito Smith and a 13-65 stat line to Brian Hill. Gore can no longer be considered game script dependent because everyone knows the script the Jets are following, and he is still getting carries.
