The rookie QB has been lights out all year long, and is in the running to win NFL Rookie of the Year! He’s already thrown for 3,015 yards and 27 touchdowns, while only throwing 7 picks. Unbelievable for a QB that wasn’t supposed to start.
Despite the fact this kid is balling out, he’ll be facing a Patriots defense that seems to always give opposing QBs trouble in the pocket. It’s no question Bill Belichick is a genius of a Head Coach, and I’m sure he’ll find a way to scheme Herbert out of this game. As he does against rookie QBs.
Herbert struggled against a stingy Bills defense last week, and now he’ll be facing an even better Pats defense. I predict we see Herbert hit a wall, which means we’ll finally see this Rookie sensation be a human for once.
It’ll be hard not to play him if you’ve been riding the Herbert train as I have, but if you can find a QB with a better matchup, you might want to consider switching it up a bit this week.
