Three QBs to SIT:
1. DeShaun Watson, Houston Texans (vs IND)
Surprisingly, the Texans have won three of their last four with the only loss coming in extreme wind in Cleveland.
In fact, excluding the game against Cleveland, Deshaun Watson is averaging over 28 fantasy points per game under interim head coach, Romeo Crennel.
Yet, unfortunately for Watson and the Texans, the NFL suspended Will Fuller for the remaining six games of the season for violating the league’s substance policy.
On Thanksgiving, Will Fuller had a monstrous game with 171 yards, two touchdowns and 35 fantasy points. Understandably, his presence will be missed by Watson. Additionally, the Texans cut Kenny Stills, last Friday, leaving their receiver corps very thin, led by Brandin Cooks.
Opposing Watson is the Colts’ defense that is allowing only 14.8 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, third-best in the NFL. For Watson, this will create some very tough matchups. Specifically, Pro Bowler Xavier Rhodes will cover Brandin Cooks, limiting Watson’s options at receiver.
Additionally, the Colts will be getting back DeForest Buckner off of the Covid list. With the return of Buckner, the Colts will limit any attempts of a rush game for the Texans. Without his top targets, and the help of a rushing game, Watson will fail to live up to his fantasy projections.
