SHINE- J.K. Dobbins
Week 11 Stats- 15 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown. 2 catches on 2 targets for 15 yards.
Week 13 matchup vs. Dallas- 27th in Fantasy PPG allowed to opposing RB’s (22.4)
The time has come for everyone to unleash J.K. Dobbins into their starting lineups. I’m pretty sure we all knew he was a good player and got put into a great situation for his talents. The only dilemma was if the Ravens would give the backfield to Dobbins or if they would be in a committee.
Up until Week 8, Dobbins hadn’t seen more than 42% of the snaps or 9 carries in any game this season. In Week 8 he saw a rise in both, receiving 66% of the snaps for 15 carries and 113 yards. Since Week 8 he’s had at least 12 carries and 56% of the snaps in 3 out of the 4 games. Dobbins had an excellent game in Week 11 against the Titans but he wasn’t able to follow it up this past week due to missing the game for COVID-related reasons.
When the Ravens take the field on Tuesday I expect to see Dobbins receive the bulk of the carries just like he did last time he was on the field. The Dallas defense allows the 2nd most rushing yards to oppose RB’s with an average of 130.7 per game. Dobbins should be able to do whatever he wants out there and the Ravens should feed the beast. If the Ravens give Dobbins the same amount of work he got in Week 11 he should have a good chance at being a top 10 RB this week.
SHINE- Raheem Mostert
Week 12 Stats- 16 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown. 2 catches on 2 targets for no gain.
Week 13 matchup vs. Buffalo- 25th in Fantasy PPG allowed to opposing RB’s(21)
After missing four straight games due to injury Raheem Mostert returned last week and got put right back into the starting role like he had before. I was surprised to see the 49ers give him 16 carries in his first game back but I was very pleased. Mostert is a very good player, on the season he’s averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 62 attempts for 346 yards while also catching 13 passes for another 150 receiving yards in only 5 games.
Last week his efficiency wasn’t good but he had a tough matchup so I was just happy to see the volume. This week’s matchup is much easier against the Bills, opposing RB’s average over 140 scrimmage yards per game against them. The Bills have also allowed 10 touchdowns this season to RB’s. If Mostert finds the end zone this week he should easily be an RB1 this week. If you have a Mostert on your fantasy rosters this week and you need a win to make playoffs or for seeding purposes, you should seriously be considering starting him, I think his ceiling is very high this week all depending on if he can find the end zone.
Also, how can you not like this guy? Undrafted free agent that was on 6 different teams before getting his first NFL carry🔥
