This week is also the start of BYE weeks with 4 teams that will be off (Lions, Eagles, Chargers and Titans). Before we get to our fantasy football week 5 rankings let&#8217;s first go over the injuries we are monitoring this week. </p>

It is likely that he won&#8217;t be able to suit up on Sunday but he could be in play next week. Either way if for some reason he is available on your waiver wire, go ahead and stash him.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RichAn03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-10-01_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Anthony Richardson</a> (@ JAC) &#8211; Richardson had a rough outing on Sunday and picked up a hip pointer while scrambling toward the sidelines. He was able to come back in but also took a hit to the head. This is likely a pain tolerance issue for Richardson but his status is worth monitoring.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WatsCh00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-10-01_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Christian Watson</a> (@ LAR) &#8211; Watson suffered an ankle injury on Sunday that looks to be serious. No word yet on the severity but this could sideline him for multiple weeks. We should get word on Wednesday on how long he could be out.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Year after year, there is always one team that goes much farther than everyone expects. Take the Texans from last year as an example, they picked QB CJ Stroud 2nd overall, which turned out to be a massive success leading to a divisional round appearance. With this certain class being incredible, let’s take a look at a few teams who can follow this model and surpass expectations.</p>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Cleveland Browns</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Browns have spent a fortune to go get their guy in <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WatsDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-03-10_pfr">Deshaun Watson</a>, and so far it hasn’t worked out. For now there is still hope, Watson has no better chance than now to rekindle the 2018 flame he had when he led the Texans to the divisional round. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The pressure is on for Watson but with that 1st ranked defense (270.2 YPG) and a healthy <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChubNi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-03-10_pfr">Nick Chubb</a>, the turnaround in Cleveland could definitely happen.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">New Orleans Saints</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Maybe the most likely scenario listed, the Saints have all the pieces to make a run. After firing OC Pete Carmichael Jr. and making a complete overhaul of their offensive staff firing multiple position group coaches and even some advisors the message seems to have been made clear in New Orleans. Not enough offense. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The hiring of former 49ers passing game specialist, Klint Kubiak could provide the spark the Saints have needed badly for the past few years. In terms of the defense, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LattMa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-03-10_pfr">Marshon Lattimore</a>’s potential departure could be something to keep an eye on. If all goes right New Orleans could seriously make a run. </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Indianapolis Colts</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Indianapolis has been a very under the radar team the past few years. But for a few weeks at the start of last year, everyone was paying attention. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RichAn03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-03-10_pfr">Anthony Richardson</a> was shocking the world with his insane running ability and absolute cannon of an arm. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=NewtCa00,NewtCa20&amp;search=Cam+Newton&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-03-10_pfr">Cam Newton</a> comparisons were circulating and everything seemed trending upwards. </p>

<center><a id='dxF9Wai1Q6VsqWcfVG9cjw' class='gie-single' href='http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/1715808170' target='_blank' style='color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;' rel="noopener">Embed from Getty Images</a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'dxF9Wai1Q6VsqWcfVG9cjw',sig:'wjtUKCRpX6nVMHohw1EzEPZsws0Q9t2CeTamW51Fzu8=',w:'594px',h:'450px',items:'1715808170',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});</script><script src='//embed-cdn.gettyimages.com/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async></script></center>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then Richardson had season-ending shoulder surgery and just as fast as Indianapolis’ spark came, it left. With the draft coming up in a few weeks a new WR to pair with <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=PittMi01,PittMi00&amp;search=Michael+Pittman&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-03-10_pfr">Michael Pittman</a> Jr. would be a luxury for Richardson and potentially a deciding factor in the Colts’ season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our fantasy football week 3 rankings are in and you can find our full rankings below. As with any week, these rankings will be updated all the way up to gametime as we account for injuries and inactive players. Before you check our rankings let&#8217;s first highlight some key injuries to monitor for week 3 of the NFL slate.</p>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AiyuBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-20_pfr">Brandon Aiyuk</a></strong> &#8211; Aiyuk has had a strong start to the season and is currently the WR8 in Half PPR scoring. He is unfortunately dealing with a shoulder injury that may keep him out of the Thursday night matchup against the New York Giants. If he is inactive <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SamuDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-20_pfr">Deebo Samuel</a> will see a jump in our rankings.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RichAn03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-20_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Anthony Richardson</a></strong> &#8211; Richardson has also had a strong start to his rookie season but left the week 2 matchup early due to a concussion. He is currently in concussion protocol and reports this morning are he won&#8217;t be practicing Wednesday. If Richardson can&#8217;t go, <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MinsGa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-20_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Gardner Minshew</a> will be in line to start on Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BarkSa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-20_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Saquon Barkley</a></strong> &#8211; (<strong>Update: Barkley is now officially OUT</strong>) Barkley picked up an ankle injury late in the New York Giants wild comeback victory on Sunday. As of now, the Giants aren&#8217;t ruling him out but I would be shocked if he played this week. He is still in our rankings but much lower than usual. We will update his ranking when we have more clarity on his status. </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">NFL Week 2 Game Recap: Seattle Seahawks 37, Detroit Lions 31</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Seattle Seahawks won 37-31 in walk-off fashion on the road in Detroit as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitGe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Geno Smith</a> found <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LockTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Tyler Lockett</a>, who reached out for the pylon. Smith led Seattle to a turnover-free victory, going 32-for-41 with 328 yards and two touchdowns. Both passing touchdowns were to Lockett, who racked up eight catches for 59 yards. Seattle also found success on the ground, rushing for 82 yards and two touchdowns.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Seahawks receiver <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MetcDK00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">D.K. Metcalf</a> left the game in the first quarter with a rib injury, and headed to to the locker room. He returned shortly after, finishing the game with six receptions for 75 yards, as Geno Smith spread the targets around all game. Turnovers proved to be the downfall for Detroit. The Lions fumbled the ball away twice in a row, one to end the first half and another to begin the second half. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GoffJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Jared Goff</a> then threw a pick-six to Seattle cornerback <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BrowTr03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Tre Brown</a>, who ran it back 40 yards to the house. Late in the fourth quarter, Goff led the Lions down the field for a game-tying field goal, forcing overtime with a score of 31-31. The offense took over and scored a touchdown on its first drive as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HoweSa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Sam Howell</a> found <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McLaTe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Terry McLaurin</a> in the middle of the endzone for a 30 yard touchdown, tying the game 21-21.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Denver eventually got the ball back with a chance to tie the game. After moving the ball to midfield, Russel Wilson and company had one last chance to force overtime. The deep hail mary pass was tipped around before being brought in by <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=JohnBr23,JohnBr20&amp;amp;search=Brandon+Johnson&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Brandon Johnson</a> for his second touchdown of the game, making the score 35-33. The two point conversion, a pass intended for <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SuttCo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Courtland Sutton</a> was incomplete as the Broncos looked for a pass-interference call but didn’t get it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sam Howell finished the game with an impressive 27 completions on 39 attempts for 299 yards and two touchdown passes. Running back <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RobiBr01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Brian Robinson</a> Jr. also ran in for a pair of touchdowns himself.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">NFL Week 2 Game Recap: Dallas Cowboys 30, New York Jets 10</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Jets handedly by a score of 30-10 as the Cowboys defense dominated for the second week in a row. Dallas moves to 2-0 on the season as the Jets fall to 1-1.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/ParsMi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Micah Parsons</a> and the Cowboys defense looked unstoppable in week two, intercepting Jets quarterback <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WilsZa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Zach Wilson</a> three times. Parsons recorded two sacks and four hits on Wilson, as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KearJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Jayron Kearse</a>, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HookMa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Malik Hooker</a>, and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DiggTr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Trevon Diggs</a> each intercepted a pass.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ceedee Lamb showed he didn’t need the help of <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CookBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Brandin Cooks</a>, who missed the game due to a sprained knee. Lamb recorded 11 catches for 143 yards, with big plays setting up for multiple scores for Dallas. Kicker <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AubrBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Brandon Aubrey</a> went five-for-five on field goals, as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PresDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Dak Prescott</a> found tight ends <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FergJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Jake Ferguson</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SchoLu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Luke Schoonmaker</a> for a touchdown each.&amp;nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The lone touchdown for the Jets came from star receiver Garret Wilson, who caught a pass across the middle and took it 68 yards to the house, marking his longest touchdown of his career thus far. Other than that, there wasn’t much going for Zach Wilson and the Jets offense, who recorded 215 total yards. Parsons along with the rest of the ruthless Dallas front four pressured Wilson all game, showing why they are one of the best defenses in the NFL.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">NFL Week 2 Game Recap: Miami Dolphins 24, New England Patriots 17</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Miami Dolphins held off a late comeback by the New England Patriots, winning the game 24-17 as a lateral to <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/StraCo01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Cole Strange</a> came up short on fourth down.&amp;nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TagoTu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Tua Tagovailoa</a> took what the defense gave him for most of the night, finding <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WaddJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Jaylen Waddle</a> five times for 86 yards. The Dolphins had plenty of success on the ground as well, as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MostRa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Raheem Mostert</a> took 18 carries for 121 yards and two touchdowns.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rookie Cornerback <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GonzCh00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Christian Gonzalez</a> kept <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HillTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Tyreek Hill</a> in check for the most part, holding the star receiver to four receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown, with the touchdown coming on a play where Gonzalez was not covering Hill.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneMa05.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Mac Jones</a> finished the game 31-for-42 with 231 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The interception came at the end of the third quarter after the Patriots drove down the field into the redzone. <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HowaXa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Xavien Howard</a> picked off the pass intended for <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/ParkDe01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">DeVante Parker</a> on the sideline at the Miami three yard line, putting an end to New Englands’ drive and keeping the score at 17-3.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Patriots cut the lead down in the fourth quarter following a Mac Jones scramble for 18 yards, the longest run of the night for New England. Jones found <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HenrHu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Hunter Henry</a> on the run for a six yard touchdown pass, making the score 17-10.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On the next Miami possession, Tagovailoa threw it deep down the left side of the field to Tyreek Hill as the pass was intercepted by Christian Gonzalez. The rookie first round pick made a leaping catch over Hill, giving the Patriots the ball back.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Dolphins forced a three and out, getting the ball back on the New England 43 yard line. On the first play of the drive, Raheem Mostert took a handoff up the middle 43 yards untouched to the endzone, extending the lead to 24-10.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mac Jones led the Patriots to a 9 play 75 yard drive ending with a <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/StevRh00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Rhamondre Stevenson</a> touchdown run to cut the lead down to 24-17.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Dolphins took the ball and drove it into Patriots territory, before the snap was fumbled on third and one. Tua recovered the fumble, but the mistake forced Miami to kick a 55 yard field goal. With concern for <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SchoBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Brenden Schooler</a>, who blocked the previous field goal, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SandJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Jason Sanders</a> missed the field goal, giving the Patriots an opportunity to tie or win the game.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After finding <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BourKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Kendrick Bourne</a> for a pair of completions, Mac Jones was sacked by <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChubBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Bradley Chubb</a> for a loss of 8 yards. New England was faced with a fourth and four, where Mac Jones completed a pass to <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GesiMi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-18_pfr">Mike Gesicki</a> short of the first down line. Gesicki threw a lateral to offensive lineman Cole Strange, who was stopped short of the marker, ending the comeback for the Patriots.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The win brings the Dolphins to 2-0 on the season, as the Patriots fall to 0-2.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As usual week 1 of the 2023-2024 NFL season was filled with surprise performances. We saw many big names with dud performances and several under-the-radar players outperformed their rankings. Week 2 is usually where things start to settle down and we should get a better idea of how the rest of the season will play out. Before you check out our fantasy football week 2 rankings let&#8217;s first go over some key injuries to monitor.</p>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KelcTr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Travis Kelce</a> &#8211; The Kansas City Chiefs struggled without their star tight end on Thursday night. Is this the week Kelce returns? Kelce is dealing with a hyperextended knee injury but was pushing to play in week 1. Given that he had extra rest it&#8217;s probable we see Kelce back this weekend. Once we have more clarity we will update our rankings accordingly. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/EkelAu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-13_pfr">Austin Ekeler</a> &#8211; Ekeler suffered an apparent ankle injury on Sunday and as of right now we don&#8217;t know the severity. We will have to monitor this situation closely and see how he practices this week. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RichAn03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-09-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Anthony Richardson</a> &#8211; Richardson had a productive debut for the Colts on Sunday but picked up a knee injury towards the end of the game. As of now, it appears the injury is minor and he won&#8217;t miss any time. This is something to keep an eye on with Richardson. He will need to protect himself better and avoid the big hits. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 2022 NFL season did not go as planned for the Indianapolis Colts. They had high hopes that newly acquired quarterback <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RyanMa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-08-23_pfr">Matt Ryan</a> would find new life in Indy. That wasn&#8217;t the case as Ryan struggled through much of the season and was eventually benched. There is now a new quarterback and head coach running the show for the Colts. Will that lead to success next season? Let&#8217;s find out below with a preview and record prediction for the 2023-2024 season. </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">The Good</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Although raw, Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson showed in college he can be an unstoppable force. The 6&#8217;4&#8243; Richardson is built like <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=NewtCa00,NewtCa20&amp;amp;search=Cam+Newton&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-08-23_pfr">Cam Newton</a> but is more explosive. There were questions on how long it would take Richardson to adjust to the NFL after just 13 starts for the Gators. The Colts have seen enough to believe he is ready now and named him the starter going forward. I like the aggressive move as Richardson needs all the reps and new head coach Shane Steichen will devise a gameplan for him to succeed. </p>

<center><a id='qi_--CbqRd1xTwy0mg3Xeg' class='gie-single' href='http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/1610179732' target='_blank' style='color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;' rel="noopener">Embed from Getty Images</a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'qi_--CbqRd1xTwy0mg3Xeg',sig:'Kx5-QmqZAtN5eORjybulweU-6mKy4qUAZCOs9FZbUlk=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'1610179732',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});</script><script src='//embed-cdn.gettyimages.com/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async></script></center>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking of Steichen, I was a big fan of this hire for Indianapolis. Steichen elevated Eagles quarterback <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HurtJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-08-23_pfr">Jalen Hurts</a> to one of the most dangerous weapons in the league. He used the <a href="https://profootballmania.com/2023/01/23/breaking-down-the-rpo-why-is-it-so-successful/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">RPO offense</a> to perfection to keep opposing defenses off balance. This formula propelled the Eagles all the way to the Super Bowl before they eventually lost to the Chiefs. Expect Steichen to once again work his magic on Richardson and make him a successful dual-threat quarterback.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">The Bad</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">All summer long the running back position has dominated the headlines. There is a disconnect between how much running backs think they&#8217;re worth versus how valuable the league sees them. Regardless of your stance, one can&#8217;t argue the value of <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylJo02.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-08-23_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Jonathan Taylor</a>. In 2021, Taylor was the league leader in scrimmage yards (2171) and total touchdowns (20). While injuries cut his 2022 season to just 11 games he was still able to rack up over 1,000 all purpose yards. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Despite all that the Colts are unwilling to pay him and he has since requested a trade. This is not what the Colts need as they are trying to change the culture and start a new era. If they do trade Taylor it will only hurt the development of Richardson going forward.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">The Prediction</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There will be ups and downs this season for the Colts as they look to develop their young quarterback. Richardson will no doubt make highlight reel plays but also plenty of mistakes. It&#8217;s important for the Colts staff to be patient as he develops and they will reap the rewards in the future. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>2023 Record: 7-10 (3rd in the Division)</strong> </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is no better time to start looking ahead to the 2023-2024 NFL season. In anticipation, we are releasing tier rankings for the offensive skill positions. To start, we will be focusing on the quarterback position. Below you will find our starting NFL quarterback tiers for the upcoming season. Before you look at our rankings, let&#8217;s point out some key highlights.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">The Big Three </h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The &#8216;S&#8217; tier is for the elite and that&#8217;s exactly what these three quarterbacks are. There isn&#8217;t much room to debate that <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MahoPa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">Patrick Mahomes</a>, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BurrJo01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">Joe Burrow</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=AlleJo02,AlleJo03,AlleJo00&amp;amp;amp;search=Josh+Allen&amp;amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">Josh Allen</a> are on another level. One could make an argument that <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HerbJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">Justin Herbert</a> is sneaking into that conversation but he is not there yet.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Crowded B Tier</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In all 13 quarterbacks made it into our &#8216;B&#8217; tier. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PickKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">Kenny Pickett</a> just made it into this tier as the last quarterback selected. Pickett had a strong finish to his rookie season winning his last 3 starts. Expect him to get better in the Steelers offense as the year goes on.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One quarterback to watch in this list is <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FielJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">Justin Fields</a>. Fields carried the Chicago Bears offense for much of the 2022-2023 season. The key now will be if Fields can become a more complete quarterback. He will have a better receiving core with the addition of <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=MoorD.00,MoorDJ99&amp;amp;amp;search=D.J.+Moore&amp;amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">D.J. Moore</a> and the offensive line is improved.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Started From the Bottom</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As expected many of the rookie quarterbacks are in the &#8216;C&#8217; and &#8216;D&#8217; tiers. Anthony Richardson is still raw and will take some time to adjust to the NFL. Once he does, look out. He could quickly climb up these rankings as he is a dynamic playmaker. Fellow rookies C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young make it into the &#8216;C&#8217; tier. At this point in time, they are more polished than Richardson and should be slated to start in week 1.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McCoCo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr">Colt McCoy</a> made it into our tier list over <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MurrKy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-29_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Kyler Murray</a> due to Murray&#8217;s injury. We already know Murray will miss the start of the 2023-2024 season with his ACL injury but it could be more than that. ACL injuries are tricky to navigate and it&#8217;s possible we won&#8217;t see Murray until the 2nd half of the season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now that the 2023 NFL draft is behind us it&#8217;s time to release our latest dynasty football rookie rankings. By now most undrafted rookies have signed onto their new teams. While most won&#8217;t make it you can expect a handful to pop and have a real impact going forward. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most intriguing prospects is Anthony Richardson now with the Indianapolis Colts. Early rumors suggest Richardson will be the week 1 starter which is something to keep an eye on. There will be a learning curve for him but if he catches on he could be a big time fantasy stud. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bijan Robinson tops out our rankings and that should be no surprise. There is a reason the Falcons selected him with the 8th overall pick in this year&#8217;s draft. They plan to feature the young rookie stud and I am expecting him to put up big numbers next year. Let&#8217;s take a look at the rest of our 2023 dynasty football rookie rankings below.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With the season still so far away, fans are already excited for the upcoming NFL season. All the new moves and picks have excited each fanbase for the next few months. This series will discuss the most critical question to be answered per team for the upcoming season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Houston Texans: How much will C.J. Stroud show in his rookie season?</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The C.J. Stroud drama is over and I&#8217;m very happy for him. The Texans QB of the future will have a tough road as the Texans have a subpar roster. The good thing is that they are trying to build a young core that will grow together. With this roster, Stroud will have his bad games. His reps will be valuable as I predict there will be some rookie <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LawrTr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-15_pfr">Trevor Lawrence</a> moments. I hope as the season progresses, the Texans will let him do more so he can show potential growth for his sophomore season. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">CJ Stroud dropping DIMES.<br><br>The Texans rookie QB is currently prepping for rookie minicamp.<br><br>Soon enough, Stroud, Dameon Pierce, Robert Woods, John Metchie, Tank Dell, and Dalton Schultz will share the field together.<br><br>Something SPECIAL is brewing in Houston ? <a href="https://t.co/b4wy9IEbVp">pic.twitter.com/b4wy9IEbVp</a></p>&mdash; NFL Rookie Watch (@NFLRookieWatxh) <a href="https://twitter.com/NFLRookieWatxh/status/1656488176616185856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 11, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Indianapolis Colts: Will Anthony Richardson be the starter in Week 1?</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Colts took their QB of the future in the raw prospect out of Florida. Anthony Richardson appears to have the highest ceiling among all the QBs but he&#8217;s probably the least NFL-ready. This gives the Colts a conundrum. With a roster that was unlucky last season, it has potential to be better than expected. They have <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MinsGa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-15_pfr">Gardner Minshew</a> who is ready to lead the Colts to some wins early on. The question is when they&#8217;ll give the keys to AR. He will grow with the reps, but the wins won&#8217;t be guaranteed. He&#8217;s not <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LuckAn00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-15_pfr">Andrew Luck</a> who led the Colts in his rookie season. Training camp will give us a glimpse on the landscape of the Colts.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Anthony Richardson tossing this ball over sixty yards with just a FLICK ?<br><br>One SEC coordinator reportedly believes Richardson is a “bigger version” of Michael Vick.<br><br>The Colts found an ALIEN in their rookie QB. <a href="https://t.co/vC91yuFFKV">pic.twitter.com/vC91yuFFKV</a></p>&mdash; NFL Rookie Watch (@NFLRookieWatxh) <a href="https://twitter.com/NFLRookieWatxh/status/1654582536859779084?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 5, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Jacksonville Jaguars: Is Trevor Lawrence primed to rule the AFC South for years to come?</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Jacksonville Jaguars had a run to remember as they ended a strong second half of the season with a come-from-behind Wild Card win over the Chargers. A lot of this is also on the immense growth of Trevor Lawrence. He looked like the generational QB out of Clemson and was making smart plays. Now, the roster is a year older, and with the addition of <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RidlCa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-15_pfr">Calvin Ridley</a>, the Jaguars look much more impressive compared to their division rivals. There is a scenario where the other three will all start rookie QBs and Trevor is the most experienced. Another strong season with a convincing division win lead will make the Jaguars THE team in the AFC South. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The game ain’t played on paper. <a href="https://t.co/UiloK4X8Tm">https://t.co/UiloK4X8Tm</a></p>&mdash; Trevor Lawrence (@Trevorlawrencee) <a href="https://twitter.com/Trevorlawrencee/status/1654098467944275971?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 4, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Tennessee Titans: When will <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TannRy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-15_pfr">Ryan Tannehill</a> give the reigns to the future?</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Titans feel very close to a rebuild. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HenrDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-15_pfr">Derrick Henry</a> is getting older and this team doesn&#8217;t feel like the team it was before. Ryan Tannehill did lead Tennessee to the playoffs multiple times but it appears he has reached his ceiling. Drafting <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillMa12.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-15_pfr">Malik Willis</a> and Will Levis in conscutive drafts isn&#8217;t a good sign either for his Titans career. Once they let either become the starter, it looks like a new era in Tennessee will be happening.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Update: QB Ryan Tannehill is the &quot;Week 1 Starter&quot; for the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Titans?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Titans</a>, per <a href="https://twitter.com/diannaESPN?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@diannaESPN</a><br><br>&quot;This is his team, he&#39;s the guy.&quot;<br><br>There was a lot of speculation about the Titans moving on from Tannehill and even made calls to other teams about him but he remains their starter Week 1. <a href="https://t.co/oFUDfK0r9u">pic.twitter.com/oFUDfK0r9u</a></p>&mdash; Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) <a href="https://twitter.com/NFL_DovKleiman/status/1656353154504736768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 10, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 1st round of the NFL Draft gave us surprises at every turn. From shocking trades to certain players in the green room not being called, the draft has been a spectacle worth watching as you can be trending at any moment. This is the start of these players&#8217; NFL lives and soon, we will be reading their names in all these fantasy articles. Here is the preliminary look of 1st round picks to watch out for in fantasy.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>QUARTERBACKS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#1 Bryce Young &#8211; Carolina Panthers</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bryce Young is in Carolina after months of anticipation. He had been first overall on draft boards for the longest time when Carolina made the trade. We will see if the size concerns are legitimate as he is expected to start early on for the Panthers. Carolina did a good job bringing in pieces such as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/ThieAd00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Adam Thielen</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HursHa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Hayden Hurst</a>. Unless he&#8217;s a total bust, Bryce will have a strong rookie season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Carolina is getting a STAR in Bryce Young ?<br><br>-23-4 record<br>-2020 national champ<br>-2021 Heisman Trophy winner<br>-2x All-SEC honors<br>-2021 AP Player of the Year<br>-Only Bama QB to throw for 3,000+ YDS in two seasons<br>-Nick Saban’s first No. 1 overall pick <a href="https://t.co/aTo9uWhTMQ">pic.twitter.com/aTo9uWhTMQ</a></p>&mdash; Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) <a href="https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1651742210080260096?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 28, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#2 C.J. Stroud &#8211; Houston Texans</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After all the noise in the pre-draft process, the Texans took the best QB available at number two. With all the propaganda against Stroud, his stock was falling and even the gambling lines weren&#8217;t a fan of him. Stroud goes into a rebuilding situation in Houston with few good options such as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=WoodRo02,WoodRo21,WoodRo00&amp;amp;search=Robert+Woods&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Robert Woods</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PierDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Dameon Pierce</a>. With Houston being in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL, he can make noise early on. The stats might not look as nice but I believe in C.J. Stroud.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">H-Town let’s get it!!!! ?? <a href="https://t.co/VUp8th6gt0">pic.twitter.com/VUp8th6gt0</a></p>&mdash; CJ Stroud (@CJ7STROUD) <a href="https://twitter.com/CJ7STROUD/status/1652317045587951623?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 29, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#4 Anthony Richardson &#8211; Indianapolis Colts</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Colts shocked the draft boards when they selected Anthony Richardson with the fourth pick of the draft. Many were speculating that Will Levis would be the pick but the Colts were higher on Richardson. Richardson comes in as a project as he will need experience first. So, expect a rocky season in terms of win-loss record. His running game could give him points, like what <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FielJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Justin Fields</a> did last season. I expect AR to be the starter as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MinsGa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Gardner Minshew</a> will serve as a good backup to him to help him grow. He&#8217;s worth stashing since he&#8217;ll most likely have a rocky start.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">A dream come true <a href="https://twitter.com/Colts?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Colts</a> ?<a href="https://twitter.com/EAMaddenNFL?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@eamaddennfl</a> | <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/EAathlete?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#EAathlete</a> <a href="https://t.co/GRAznPMbSn">pic.twitter.com/GRAznPMbSn</a></p>&mdash; Anthony Richardson † (@GVOaant) <a href="https://twitter.com/GVOaant/status/1651780652956540928?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 28, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>RUNNING BACKS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#8 Bijan Robinson &#8211; Atlanta Falcons</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bijan Robinson had been touted as the best non-QB offensive weapon in this class. With the value of RBs decreasing, his talent level was respected very much as he had top-10 pick status in mock drafts. Atlanta chose to use their eighth pick on him in the draft. Now, he would be their top RB and a nice piece for Desmond Rider. People were hoping he would go somewhere else where his talent can shine more. The Falcons drafted <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AllgTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Tyler Allgeier</a> last year and he just ran for over 1000 yards. I think it&#8217;s safe to assume Bijan will get the workload immediately. Allgeier could steal some snaps early on, especially if he&#8217;s doing well.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#12 Jahmyr Gibbs &#8211; Detroit Lions</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Detroit Lions traded down to 12 and got two more picks for the 6th and 81st. They surprisingly took Jahmyr Gibbs out of Alabama with the 12th pick. Draft boards had Gibbs to be drafted later in the first round and running back isn&#8217;t a need for the Lions. Besides keeping <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SwifDA00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">D&#8217;Andre Swift</a>, they also signed <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MontDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">David Montgomery</a> in the offseason. This might be a tough first season production-wise for Gibbs as he will have two established players ahead of him. Keep him on your mind in case any of the two gets injured during the season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Update: D&#8217;Andre Swift has been traded to the Eagles so this leaves Gibbs with the potential to have a decent rookie season. It could be similar to the Swift-Williams combo last season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Detroit! I&#39;m honored to join the Lions family. </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WIDE RECEIVERS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#20 Jaxon Smith-Njigba &#8211; Seattle Seahawks</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The first wide receiver off the board took longer than expected as the Seahawks took Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Many of the mocks had him as early as 12th to the Texans but the teams went with other options. This pick is interesting as he goes to a wide receiver room of DK Metcalf and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LockTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Tyler Lockett</a>. In case Lockett, leaves JSN would serve as a good replacement and it gives <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitGe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Geno Smith</a> an extra weapon. JSN would be worth drafting in the middle to late rounds.</p>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">“Jaxson Smith-Njigba is going to the best place possible. <p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#21 Quentin Johnson &#8211; Los Angeles Chargers</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Chargers went for a receiver a pick after when they took Quentin Johnson. A monster of a man, he makes the Chargers receiving core even bigger and much richer. It will be hard to spread the ball around with <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=WillMi07,WillMi23,WillMi04,WillMi22,WillMi03,WillMi00,WillMi02,WillMi21&amp;amp;search=Mike+Williams&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Mike Williams</a>, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AlleKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Keenan Allen</a>, and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/EkelAu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Austin Ekeler</a> getting passes from <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HerbJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Justin Herbert</a>. He&#8217;s worth stashing depending on the availability of the receivers.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#22 Zay Flowers &#8211; Baltimore Ravens</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What a day for the Baltimore Ravens as they were able to secure Lamar for the future and get him help with Zay Flowers. The wide receivers in Baltimore weren&#8217;t impressive last season. Now, with OBJ, Flowers, and Andrews, Lamar will feel much more comfortable in the passing game with Baltimore. Flowers is very explosive and can go off in those long TD catch and runs.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Welcome home, <a href="https://twitter.com/ZayFlowers?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@ZayFlowers</a>. <a href="https://t.co/RgU8MEU5HE">pic.twitter.com/RgU8MEU5HE</a></p>&mdash; Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) <a href="https://twitter.com/Ravens/status/1652002266142978060?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 28, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#23 Jordan Addison &#8211; Minnesota Vikings</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While losing Adam Thielen to Carolina hurt, they have found his replacement in Jordan Addison. The wide receiver prospect out of Minnesota will enjoy <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CousKi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Kirk Cousins</a>&#8216; passes and being beside <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JeffJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Justin Jefferson</a>. He is the perfect complement for him and can have a sneaky good year for the Vikings.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Scary hours in Minnesota ? <a href="https://twitter.com/Vikings?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Vikings</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Madden23?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Madden23</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/EAathlete?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#EAathlete</a> <a href="https://t.co/5OzgAmyzHt">pic.twitter.com/5OzgAmyzHt</a></p>&mdash; Jordan Addison (@Espn_Jordan) <a href="https://twitter.com/Espn_Jordan/status/1651796173986963458?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 28, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TIGHT ENDS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#25 Dalton Kincaid &#8211; Buffalo Bills</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Buffalo Bills drafted the only tight end in the first round with Utah&#8217;s Dalton Kincaid. Dalton is more of a pass-catcher which makes it interesting as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KnoxDa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Dawson Knox</a> still has years left in his contract. It does give <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=AlleJo02,AlleJo03,AlleJo00&amp;amp;search=Josh+Allen&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Josh Allen</a> more weapons and different looks such as possibly double tight-end plays. It may take a year or two for Dalton to be a fantasy option but he has the skills to be a good pass-catcher.</p>
