<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Welcome to our new feature where we recap a particular player’s journey in the 2022-2023 NFL Fantasy Football Season. This article features preseason expectations, draft expectations, overall season production, and critical moments during the season. We will do this for all 32 teams as we highlight a player per team.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PRESEASON EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/O/OttoCa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-01-29_pfr">Cade Otton</a> was drafted in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the retirement of <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GronRo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-01-29_pfr">Rob Gronkowski</a>, Tampa Bay was looking for other options to replace him in the tight-end position.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">My TE2 in this class going into the NFL Draft just has to clear Cameron Brate currently in order to catch passes from Tom Brady this next season.<br><br>Select Cade Otton in your rookie drafts.</p>&mdash; Kyle Yates (@KyleYNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/KyleYNFL/status/1520860479471636481?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 1, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DRAFT EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not much was expected from Cade Otton as he was the 41st-ranked TE in fantasy. With this, he had an ADP of 290.7. So, he was most likely available after the draft. Other than being an unheralded rookie, he had two other teammates at TE who were ranked higher than him. These two are <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BratCa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-01-29_pfr">Cameron Brate</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RudoKy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-01-29_pfr">Kyle Rudolph</a>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>OVERALL SEASON PRODUCTION</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Shocking everyone, Cade Otton outdid himself. At the end of the year, he was ranked 26th for all TEs and was the highest-scoring TE from Tampa Bay. In 13 out of the 16 appearances he made, Cade played in more than half of the snaps which shows that the coaching staff is high on him. He had four top-12 TE fantasy point weeks which involves being the TE 1 in Week 13. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BradTo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-01-29_pfr">Tom Brady</a> does love his tight ends. Check out the QB situation to see if Cade Otton could be a steal for next season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CRITICAL MOMENTS DURING THE SEASON</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 5 vs Atlanta Falcons</strong></p>

<center><a id='CZiavK0cRQpmuqKXfIKchg' class='gie-single' href='http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/1432418441' target='_blank' style='color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;' rel="noopener">Embed from Getty Images</a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'CZiavK0cRQpmuqKXfIKchg',sig:'5rtKiJBPPPYYWS7XUvDibV3NjGPa9iuM1TxNw1SMM1U=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'1432418441',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});</script><script src='//embed-cdn.gettyimages.com/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async></script></center>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cade Otton&#8217;s fourth game of his career was his most productive to that point as he played his highest snap percentage with 94% of the game on the field. With his high snap percentage, he got plenty of looks from Tom Brady. He had seven targets and caught six of them for 43 yards. In 7 of the 13 games he played, he had a snap percentage of 80+%.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 9 vs Los Angeles Rams</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A playoff rematch was set in Week 9 as the Rams faced Tampa Bay. It was a close game as the Rams led 13-9 with 8 minutes left. Cade Otton was the hero as he caught the game-winning TD with 13 seconds left. He caught five passes for 68 yards, the most yards in a game in his young career.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Cade Otton’s mom passed away from Parkinson’s disease in September. </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 13 vs New Orleans Saints</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a crucial divisional matchup with all teams having a chance to claim the division, the Saints played at Tampa Bay in Week 13. It was a defense-minded game as the score was 16-3 with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Cade Otton was big in this game as he caught six passes out of 10 looks for 28 yards and a TD. That TD made it a 16-9 game.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every week owners have a tough time picking which player to ride on or which player to sit on the bench. With this article, we aim to help fantasy owners determine which players to start or sit.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PLAYERS TO START</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WR: <a href="https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/players/garrett-wilson.php" class="fp-player-link fp-id-23072" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Garrett Wilson</a><script>window.PLAYERCARDS_CONFIG={affiliateCode:""};</script><script src="//cdn.fantasypros.com/playercards/v2/auto_parse_nfl.js"></script> (Projected 10.17 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Garrett Wilson looks like a WR 1. The New York Jets have been different especially with <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WhitMi01.htm" target="_blank">Mike White</a> as their QB. The main winner of that change is Garrett Wilson who has scored 26 and 24 FP in back-to-back weeks. In those two games, he has caught 13 passes for 257 yards and two TDs. The Jets face the Bills in a big divisional matchup that could dictate the playoffs. With Buffalo&#8217;s defense getting more hurt each week, the Jets will have to counter with a good passing game for a chance to win.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">BAAAAAAACK TO BACK.<a href="https://twitter.com/GarrettWilson_V?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@GarrettWilson_V</a> is your <a href="https://twitter.com/pepsi?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@pepsi</a> Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week!!<br><br>? <a href="https://t.co/e3gb0lz4Qv">https://t.co/e3gb0lz4Qv</a> <a href="https://t.co/PjCj4DhVsq">pic.twitter.com/PjCj4DhVsq</a></p>&mdash; New York Jets (@nyjets) <a href="https://twitter.com/nyjets/status/1600901285430980608?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 8, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TE: <a class="fp-player-link fp-id-23181" href="https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/players/cade-otton.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cade Otton</a><script>window.PLAYERCARDS_CONFIG={affiliateCode:""};</script><script></script> (Projected: 5.60 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cade Otton comes in hot when Tampa Bay faces the 49ers this upcoming week. Otton was TE 1 last week when he caught six passes and a TD. With San Francisco doing well against the run, the Buccaneers may focus on the short and middle game with Cade Otton as a good option. He&#8217;s worth the gamble of a projected 5.60 FP.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DEF/ST: Cleveland Browns (Projected: 5.93 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Browns come into Cincinnati in their Week 14 matchup against the Bengals. Cleveland comes in from their best performance of the year when they did a bit of everything against the Texans and scored 31 FP. Before that, their best game came against the Bengals in Week 8. The defense allowed just 13 points and had five sacks and a fumble recovery. Look for the Browns to continue their hot defense.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PLAYERS TO SIT</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>QB: <a href="https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/players/joe-burrow.php" class="fp-player-link fp-id-19196" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Burrow</a><script>window.PLAYERCARDS_CONFIG={affiliateCode:""};</script><script src="//cdn.fantasypros.com/playercards/v2/auto_parse_nfl.js"></script> (Projected 21.27 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Joe Burrow is undefeated when he faces the Chiefs. However, he doesn&#8217;t have a win against the Cleveland Browns. Burrow had his worst game of the year against the Browns where he only scored 13.48 FP. There&#8217;s always something extra in the air when divisional foes face. The Browns will be motivated in this game especially with them creeping up the standings for the last playoff spot.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Joe Burrow is 3-0 against Patrick Mahomes<br><br>Joe Burrow is 0-4 against the Cleveland Browns<br><br>Make it make sense</p>&mdash; Will Brinson (@WillBrinson) <a href="https://twitter.com/WillBrinson/status/1600127922047635456?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 6, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>RB: <a class="fp-player-link fp-id-11821" href="https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/players/latavius-murray.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Latavius Murray</a><script>window.PLAYERCARDS_CONFIG={affiliateCode:""};</script><script></script> (Projected 11.31 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Denver Broncos have a problem scoring and this is dangerous especially against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos are running one of the worst offenses in the league so this might be a problem for Latavius Murray. Denver may be forced to throw more and keep Latavius away from the action.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">My prayers go out to each member of the Denver Broncos defense and defensive staff. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">We are back with our Week 13 edition of DAWGS Of The Week. This series highlights the players who surpassed their projections the most for the current week. We use Sleepers’ PPR Format for the point system and forecasts. Let’s look back at the players that swung their team to victory this week.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>QB DAWG Of The Week: Tyler Huntley 16.58 FP</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>187 Passing Yards, 1 Interception, 10 Carries, 41 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD (Projected: 0 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HuntTy01.htm" target="_blank">Tyler Huntley</a> stepped up with <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JackLa00.htm" target="_blank">Lamar Jackson</a> going down with an knee injury in the win over Denver. Huntley completed 27 of 32 passes for 187 yards. He also rushed for 41 yards, including the game-winning TD. With Lamar most likely unavailable next week, look for Huntley to start at least one more game.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>RB <strong>DAWG Of The Week</strong>: Cam Akers 19 FP</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>17 Carries, 60 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TD, 1 Reception (Projected: 5.97 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AkerCa00.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cam Akers</a> surprisingly led the way for the Rams backfield against the Seahawks. Akers rushed for 60 yards and two TDs. After four bad games in a row, this play surprised everyone. Even with this performance, it’s very difficult to trust the Rams and Akers.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WR <strong>DAWG Of The Week</strong>: Davante Adams 37.70 FP</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>8 Receptions, 177 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected: 20.86 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The top fantasy performer of the week goes to <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AdamDa01.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Davante Adams</a>. Davante was unstoppable in the game against the Chargers as he had eight receptions for 177 yards and two TDs. His 177 yards is the highest he has had in a Raiders jersey. In the last five games, he has 4 games with at least one TD and 3 games with at least 2 TDs. He has a date with <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RamsJa00.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jalen Ramsey</a> next week.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TE <strong>DAWG Of The Week</strong>: Cade Otton 14.80 FP</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>6 Receptions, 28 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 5.36 FP)</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Has Tom found his new TE? <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/O/OttoCa00.htm" target="_blank">Cade Otton</a>, the rookie, stepped up in the comeback win of Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers TE caught six passes for 28 yards and a TD. When his snap percentage his above 80%, his production leads to 10+ FP in four out of five games. <h1 class="wp-block-heading">Latest Buccaneers tight end outlook</h1>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By: Jake Rajala</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will not have the greek god-like TE Robert Gronkowski, but they still have talent left at the TE spot. The starting TE is none other than the veteran Cameron Brate. He hasn&#8217;t been very involved in recent memory, but he did have a modest 660 receiving yds and 8 touchdowns in 2016. He also notched six touchdowns in 2017 and six touchdowns in 2018. He only unleashed four touchdowns in 2021, but he also only had 50 targets, while Gronkowski registered 89 targets. He&#8217;s certainly capable of being a go-to target and red-zone threat as the TE1 in the Bucs offense moving forward. The 31-year-old TE will be a FA in 2024. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2021 TE red zone target leaders:<br><br>? Mark Andrews &#8211; 20<br>? Cameron Brate &#8211; 20<br>? Zach Ertz &#8211; 20<br>? Pat Freiermuth &#8211; 20<br>? Tyler Higbee &#8211; 18<br>? Dawson Knox &#8211; 18<br>? Hunter Henry &#8211; 17</p>&mdash; Matt Gruber (@FF_Worm) <a href="https://twitter.com/FF_Worm/status/1546585565784588289?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">July 11, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cade Otton (fourth-round pick in 2021) could be an x-factor in the Bucs offense moving forward. Per <a href="https://www.nfl.com/prospects/cade-otton/32004f54-5471-2400-c87d-346814f25b06">NFL.com</a>, a scouting director for an NFC team stated, &#8220;I think he is the best I&#8217;ve seen so far (in 2021), at just getting himself open with his routes. That is really a big deal for me when I watch tight ends&#8221;. It&#8217;s safe to say that he is can find gold with excellent match-ups and having Tom Brady as his QB. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Bucs have a second TE rookie in their midst in Ko Kieft &#8211; as he was a Big Ten honorable mention last season. He offers quality run-blocking ability in part to his modest pass-catching ability. He should have a unique role in the Bucs offense next season. The fourth TE is Codey McElroy &#8211; who has 30 career receiving yards at this point. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It&#8217;s clear that the Bucs have a rare combination of experience (with Brate) and youth (with Otton and Kieft) at their TE position. With that said, it could still be wise for the Bucs to bring in another veteran TE. There are a few modest free agent tight ends available, such as Jimmy Graham, Eric Ebron, and Kyle Rudolph. </p>
