<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If your draft strategy going into next season is to draft wide receivers early and often you want to make sure they deliver. For the most part, the top 5 currently in ADP are all locks (<a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JeffJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Justin Jefferson</a>, <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChasJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Ja&#8217;Marr Chase</a>, <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KuppCo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Cooper Kupp</a>, <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HillTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Tyreek Hill</a> and <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DiggSt00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Stefon Diggs</a>). On the next tier down is where you can start asking questions if a wide receiver is worth picking in that spot. Winning in fantasy is all about finding late round values and not overvaluing players that cost you if they don&#8217;t produce. With that said let&#8217;s take a look at 3 wide receivers I believe are currently overvalued.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color"><em>The current <a href="https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/adp/half-point-ppr-wr.php?partner=mania" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ADP </a>below IS for Half PPR</em> scoring.</mark></p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Amon-Ra St. Brown (Lions &#8211; WR) | ADP &#8211; 15 | WR9</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/StxxAm00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Amon-Ra St. Brown</a> was one of the breakout stars from last season. The 2nd year WR from USC built nicely on his rookie campaign and finished with 106 receptions, 1,161 yards and 6 touchdowns. This was good enough for 214.6 fantasy points in Half PPR. There are a couple of stats that stick out for St. Brown. He had 146 targets and accounted for a 25.9% target share on a team that lacked real playmakers at the WR position. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I am still high on St.Brown but I don&#8217;t like him as an early second-round pick. The Lions brought back <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=JoneMa02,JoneMa23&amp;amp;amp;amp;search=Marvin+Jones&amp;amp;amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Marvin Jones</a> Jr. and drafted Jahmyr Gibbs from Alabama to help bolster their offense. Jones will eat into some of Brown&#8217;s target share and I also like <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RaymKa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Kalif Raymond</a> as a potential late-round sleeper. If I had to choose right now between <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WilsGa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Garrett Wilson</a> (ADP 17) and Amon-Ra St. Brown, I am taking Wilson.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Davante Adams (Raiders &#8211; WR) | ADP &#8211; 13 | WR7</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Only Justin Jefferson had more fantasy points last season than <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AdamDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Davante Adams</a>. In his first season with the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams put up gaudy numbers along with a whopping 32.3% target share. He led the NFL in receiving touchdowns with 14 and finished the season with 285.5 fantasy points. Adams showed no signs of slowing down at the age of 30.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CarrDe02.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Derek Carr</a> were still on the Raiders I would have Adams in the top-tier of wide receivers. Carr is now with the New Orleans Saints and in steps <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GaroJi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Jimmy Garoppolo</a>. While I do like the fit, Garoppolo is not the same arm talent as Carr. Carr looks to push the ball down the field more while Garoppolo plays more of a short to intermediate game. I expect the Raiders passing game to be more balanced next season and with that Adams numbers will drop. If I had to choose right now between <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=override,BrowAJ00&amp;search=A.J.+Brown&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">A.J. Brown</a> (ADP 14) or Davante Adams, I am grabbing Brown. </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">DK Metcalf (Seahawks &#8211; WR) | ADP &#8211; 33 | WR15 </h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Last season was certainly not a letdown for <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MetcDK00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">D.K. Metcalf</a>. He finished with 1,048 yards, 6 touchdowns and 181.8 fantasy points, yet we expected more. Metcalf finished behind fellow teammate <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LockTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Tyler Lockett</a> in total fantasy points (195.3) and touchdowns (9). New quarterback <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitGe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Geno Smith</a> looked for Metcalf often in the red zone. He had 27 red zone targets but only 5 red zone touchdowns.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Looking ahead to next season, the Seattle Seahawks added to their receiving core by drafting Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba was selected 20th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft and I really like his upside. This receiving group is shaping up nicely but I expect Smith-Njigba to take some of those red zone targets away from Metcalf. If I had to choose right now between <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SamuDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-13_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Deebo Samuel</a> (ADP 36) or D.K. Metcalf, I am taking Samuel.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The once-powerful NFC West is a little uncertain looking at the rosters today. Multiple injuries to key players have made the division weaker. But it doesn&#8217;t mean that the division is lacking in fantasy sleepers. Here we look at which fantasy sleepers you should target in the NFC West.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Arizona Cardinals: TE Zach Ertz [ADP: 154.6]</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When healthy, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/ErtzZa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-02_pfr">Zach Ertz</a> was one of the best TEs in football last season. He was consistently getting double-digit FPs from his looks from <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MurrKy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-02_pfr">Kyler Murray</a>. From Week 11 onwards, he was out for the season due to injury. Now, Arizona will not have Kyler as he tore his ACL so <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McCoCo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-02_pfr">Colt McCoy</a> will take the helm. Without Hopkins, there will be more opportunities for the other receivers. If Ertz can bounce back, he can have a sneaky good year for whoever picks him.</p>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Veterans I’m trying to buy on contending teams: Davante Adams, Cooper Kupp, Geno Smith, Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, Diontae Johnson, Tyler Lockett, Darren Waller, Aaron Jones, James Conner, Joe Mixon, Zach Ertz. </div></figure>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Los Angeles Rams: RB Cam Akers [ADP: 85.8]</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Los Angeles Rams had a disastrous season with multiple injuries and inconsistency hurting the team. With the team in a half-rebuild, one of the people who can lead the team is <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AkerCa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-02_pfr">Cam Akers</a>. He will lead the team in the backfield and end the year strong. He ran for over 100 yards in his last three games and he hopes to build on it the next season. Look for Akers to have a strong year.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">From Weeks 13-18 last year, Cam Akers averaged:<br><br>? 19.3 opportunities<br>? 102 scrimmage yards<br>? 16.4 fantasy points<br><br>Are you in or out at his current RB24 best ball ADP? <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/FantasyFootball?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#FantasyFootball</a> <a href="https://t.co/A1RCVWhxEW">pic.twitter.com/A1RCVWhxEW</a></p>&mdash; Fantasy Footballers (@TheFFBallers) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheFFBallers/status/1662924478727200768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 28, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">San Francisco 49ers: WR Brandon Aiyuk [ADP: 89.9]</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AiyuBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-02_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Brandon Aiyuk</a> is often forgotten when talking about San Francisco&#8217;s offense. He led the team in catches and receiving yards. With the 49ers having a strong offense every year, Aiyuk at this ADP is a steal. He has improved his numbers every year and reached over 1000 receiving yards in 2022. The only uncertainty is the 49ers QB as we still don&#8217;t know who will be the man in charge.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">&quot;I&#39;m about to take off.&quot;<br><br>Brandon Aiyuk believes he&#39;s underrated and uses that as motivation <a href="https://t.co/O8czsGeXPj">pic.twitter.com/O8czsGeXPj</a></p>&mdash; 49ers on NBCS (@NBCS49ers) <a href="https://twitter.com/NBCS49ers/status/1664040833006596098?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 31, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Seattle Seahawks: QB Geno Smith [ADP: 52.8]</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitGe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-06-02_pfr">Geno Smith</a> had a bounce-back season for the ages as he led the Seahawks above all expectations. He threw for 4282 yards and 30 TDs as he brought the team to the playoffs. The Seahawks QB ended the year fifth among all QBs and 13th overall in fantasy football. Now, his ADP is 52.8 or a fourth-round pick. With another year in Seattle and the team drafting Jaxson Smith-Njigba, he looks prime for another great year.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The AFC West is my favorite in terms of draftable NFL players for fantasy football. Even though I try to space out the teams I&#8217;m drafting, I always find myself having multiple players from the same teams in the AFC West. Looking at the possible depth charts gave me ideas on who to take note of during draft day. Here are fantasy sleepers you should watch out for in the AFC West.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Denver Broncos: RB Samaje Perine (ADP: 167.7)</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Denver Broncos picked up RB <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PeriSa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-27_pfr">Samaje Perine</a> during the offseason in order to beef up their RB depth chart. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillJa10.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-27_pfr">Javonte Williams</a> is still recovering from injury and there is some doubt that he may miss some parts of the season. Perine will take over the load at first and can be a suitable backup as he also has good pass-catching skills. The Broncos want Javonte to take his time so Perine has his reps.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Quentin Johnston landed in the perfect situation with the Chargers. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">By the end of the upcoming NFL season, the AFC South will probably be the youngest in terms of the QBs that could be leading their teams. Three rookie QBs and a generational talent will lead their teams in this division. Most likely, a lot of people won&#8217;t focus on this division as much nationally due to the lack of big-time names. However, this doesn&#8217;t excuse us from looking at potential fantasy sleepers per team.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Houston Texans: WR Robert Woods (ADP 223.8)</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=WoodRo02,WoodRo21,WoodRo00&amp;amp;search=Robert+Woods&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-26_pfr">Robert Woods</a> is on his second team in two years as he tries to revitalize his career. When he was with the Rams, he was very consistent and made life easy for <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GoffJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-26_pfr">Jared Goff</a>. His mission now is to help C.J. Stroud thrive. He is currently the top WR in the Texans. Look for Stroud to focus on him especially at the start in order to get a rhythm and to get acclimated to the NFL. His ADP of 223.8 is ridiculous for someone of his talent.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here’s a look at Robert Woods, the Texans’ major WR addition in free agency. He’s entering his second full season after a 2021 ACL tear. <a href="https://t.co/tBWUauTFv5">pic.twitter.com/tBWUauTFv5</a></p>&mdash; Brooks Kubena (@BKubena) <a href="https://twitter.com/BKubena/status/1661027505816346624?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 23, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Indianapolis Colts: WR Alec Pierce (ADP 188.1)</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For the Indianapolis Colts, I&#8217;m looking at <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PierAl00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-26_pfr">Alec Pierce</a>. As a rookie last season, he had his moments such as scoring 18.6 FP against the Cowboys and 15.1 FP against the Broncos. What makes him stand out is his 15 deep targets as the other Colts WRs only had 18 total deep targets. With Anthony Richardson having a cannon of an arm, Alec Pierce could benefit from the deep throws with the rookie QB.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">POST ? <a href="https://twitter.com/alecpierce?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@alecpierce</a> <br>&#8211;<br>1?? 1-STEP RELEASE &#8211; Dancing is for TikTok <br><br>? <h4 class="wp-block-heading">Jacksonville Jaguars: WR Christian Kirk (ADP 82.9)</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KirkCh01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-26_pfr">Christian Kirk</a> had a career year last season when he caught 84 passes for 1108 yards and eight TDs. His year helped the Jaguars have a successful season and make Jacksonville look like an elite contender for years to come. Currently, he is slated at ADP 82.9 which is a steal for what he can do. Even with <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RidlCa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-26_pfr">Calvin Ridley</a> coming in, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LawrTr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-26_pfr">Trevor Lawrence</a> will still pass the ball around. Christian Kirk will overcome his ADP again.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Christian Kirk and Stefon Diggs led all WR in red zone TDs last year (7) <a href="https://t.co/HTTnou4yn2">pic.twitter.com/HTTnou4yn2</a></p>&mdash; B/R Gridiron (@brgridiron) <a href="https://twitter.com/brgridiron/status/1659321132913414145?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 18, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Tennessee Titans: QB Will Levis (ADP 137.9)</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We&#8217;ve all seen the tape that he&#8217;s throwing the ball well in camps and looks like a steal. Let&#8217;s hold our horses first. He&#8217;s still very raw and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TannRy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-26_pfr">Ryan Tannehill</a> is still the guy for the Titans. Now I expect Will Levis to get some run depending on Tennessee&#8217;s record. This makes him intriguing especially in dynasty leagues if you need a QB. The fans will be calling for him if the Titans look bad. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Welcome to our new feature where we recap a particular player’s journey in the 2022-2023 NFL Fantasy Football Season. This article features preseason expectations, draft expectations, overall season production, and critical moments. We will do this for all 32 teams by highlighting a player per team.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PRESEASON EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After a stellar sophomore season with him ranked the top player in the NFL, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylJo02.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-11_pfr">Jonathan Taylor</a> became a household name for all fantasy football fans. He ran for 1811 yards and 18 TDs and caught for 360 yards and a couple of TDs. People wondered if he would be the first overall pick for the upcoming season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Colts?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Colts</a> Jonathan Taylor in just his sophomore season: <br><br>1,881 Yards rushing <br><br>5.5 YPC<br><br>18 TD’s rushing<br><br>40 receptions <br><br>360 Yards <br><br>2 TD’s receiving <br><br>NFL’s Rushing Title <br><br>Pro Bowl nod<br><br>1st Team ALL-PRO selection<br><br>He’s just getting started?<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ForTheShoe?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ForTheShoe</a> <a href="https://t.co/Wc1o9TQSWK">pic.twitter.com/Wc1o9TQSWK</a></p>&mdash; Colts Coverage (@Colts_Coverage) <a href="https://twitter.com/Colts_Coverage/status/1482054754629038086?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 14, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DRAFT EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jonathan Taylor was the favorite non-QB player in fantasy drafts as he and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=AlleJo02,AlleJo03,AlleJo00&amp;amp;search=Josh+Allen&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-11_pfr">Josh Allen</a> were usually the first picks in fantasy drafts. With the RB position so volatile, having the best RB from last season makes it an easy choice for owners with the first or second pick.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">In the first round of your fantasy draft you want to thread the needle of an elite ceiling and elite floor. No one offers that more than Jonathan Taylor this season. <a href="https://t.co/4Plk8RrJ9a">pic.twitter.com/4Plk8RrJ9a</a></p>&mdash; Field Yates (@FieldYates) <a href="https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1560710945571323909?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 19, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>OVERALL SEASON PRODUCTION</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was a nightmare of a season for the top-ranked RB of the Colts. There was a perfect storm of chaos from an injured offensive line to a subpar QB performance and to him being hurt. Teams were just focusing on him and were able to neutralize him. JT was only able to play 11 games for the Colts and this hurt the team. He ran for just 861 yards and four TDs. It will be interesting to see if teams will target him in the first round.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Colts RB Jonathan Taylor suffers high-ankle sprain, unlikely to play again this season. </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CRITICAL MOMENTS DURING THE SEASON</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 1 vs Houston Texans</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was an amazing start to the season by JT as he rushed for 161 yards and 31 carries in the season-opener. He ran in for a two-yard TD with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. Fantasy owners were delighted as they expected the Jonathan Taylor of last year to be the same for this season. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">It had been a slow season for Taylor as the Colts went to Las Vegas in Week 10. <p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 12 vs Pittsburgh Steelers</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before being shut down due to a high ankle sprain, Jonathan Taylor&#8217;s last good game came against the Steelers. He ran for 86 yards and scored on a two-yard run in the third. It had been a subpar season to this point and we hope JT will be healthy and ready come the 2023 season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After being drafted by the Houston Texans in the 2022 NFL Draft, many identified <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PierDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-10_pfr">Dameon Pierce</a> as a rookie running back to watch out for. With Houston most likely in a losing season, they would give Pierce touches and hopefully be their RB 1 of the future. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DRAFT EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dameon Pierce had hype as the rookie was sensational in the preseason. He had been rising up draft boards and in the end, he reached mid-round value. He was the 35th RB taken and that&#8217;s good value. There was a logjam as the Texans had split work for three RBs. If owners stayed patient, Pierce could show off his value.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>OVERALL SEASON PRODUCTION</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was a season of hope for the Texans as Dameon Pierce looks like the future RB 1. He had his moments where he looked unbelievable but sadly injuries got in the way and he missed the last four games of the season. Pierce ran for 939 yards and four TDs and caught 30 passes for 165 yards and a TD. With more offensive weapons coming next season, Dameon Pierce is due for a breakout season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CRITICAL MOMENTS DURING THE SEASON</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 3 vs Chicago Bears</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, Pierce finally recorded his first-ever career rushing TD. In the second quarter, he rushed to the left for a one-yard TD. He ended the game with 80 rushes through 20 carries. He also caught two balls for 21 yards.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 4 vs Los Angeles Chargers</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dameon Pierce&#8217;s best game of the season came against the Chargers in Week 4. The Texans rookie ran for 131 yards, including a 75-yard TD in the second quarter. He also caught a season-high six passes for just eight yards. This performance gave him 25.90 FP and he looked like a steal for owners who had him in the middle rounds.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 9 vs Philadelphia Eagles</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a game against the reigning NFC Champions, everyone was expecting Houston to just be blown out. Dameon Pierce, however, had his best-rushing game against an elite defense. The rookie ran for 139 yards and 27 carries. His longest run for the game was a 36-yard run. This shows how capable Pierce is against one of the top defenses in the NFL.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HodgIs00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-28_pfr">Isaiah Hodgins</a> did not do much in order to get into Buffalo&#8217;s good behaviors as he barely played as a Bill. With such a deep WR core, it would be an uphill battle for him to even get reps.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DRAFT EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There were no draft expectations for Hodgins as his ADP was 999 or undrafted. I don&#8217;t blame owners as WRs are deep in fantasy football. However&#8230;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>OVERALL SEASON PRODUCTION</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It all changed when the Giants claimed Hodgins off waivers. Isaiah became a favorite target of <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneDa05.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-28_pfr">Daniel Jones</a> and he resigned for another year in New York. He ended the year with 37 catches for 392 yards and four TDs. He had those TDs in the last six games of the season Keeping Hodgins was a good move for the Giants who look at Daniel Jones as the guy at QB.</p>

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CRITICAL MOMENTS DURING THE SEASON</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 16 vs Minnesota Vikings</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Isaiah Hodgins had the best game of his career so far against the Vikings in Week 16. He connected for eight catches and 89 yards and a TD. The hype was getting louder for Hodgins as he caught his third TD in four games at the time. He had a season-high 22.90 FP, good for WR 7.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Isaiah Hodgins in two matchups with the Vikings (often while covered by Patrick Peterson): 16 catches, 194 yards, 2 TDs. <br><br>Hodgins has 5 TDs in his last 6 games. He&#39;s no longer just a nice story. He looks like a real piece of the puzzle going forward.</p>&mdash; Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) <a href="https://twitter.com/DDuggan21/status/1614832915501703168?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 16, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Special Edition: Wildcard vs Minnesota Vikings</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There&#8217;s something about the Vikings that makes Isaiah unstoppable. In the Wild Card Round, the Giants faced the Vikings on the road. Hodgins dominated with eight catches for 105 yards and a 14-yard TD in the first quarter. He saved the best game of his career for this and it worked out for New York.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fresh off a historic rookie season where he had 81 catches for 1455 yards and 13 TDs, Ja&#8217;Marr was eager to show that his rookie season was no fluke. He had gotten a lot of praise from teammates and opponents alike that he was an elite WR even after just one year.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DRAFT EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The jump for Ja&#8217;Marr was evident as his ADP was 13.3 or almost a sure-fire first-round pick. Being the WR 1 for <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BurrJo01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-27_pfr">Joe Burrow</a> has a lot of benefits so people were okay with using their first pick on him.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, and Ja’Marr Chase are the only non-RBs worth a first-round pick in your fantasy football drafts this year.</p>&mdash; Dave Kluge (@DaveKluge) <a href="https://twitter.com/DaveKluge/status/1528020219960078338?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 21, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>OVERALL SEASON PRODUCTION</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChasJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-27_pfr">Ja&#8217;Marr Chase</a> had a down year production-wise, but he was still recognized as an elite wide receiver. He was the 12th-best WR and 36th overall. He only played 13 games, but he managed to have 87 catches for 1046 yards and nine TDs. You can still put your faith in Chase next year as he&#8217;ll be one of the best WRs and players in fantasy football.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CRITICAL MOMENTS DURING THE SEASON</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 1 vs Pittsburgh Steelers</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was a great start to the season for Ja&#8217;Marr Chase when the Bengals faced the Steelers in Week 1. He caught 10 passes for 129 yards and a TD. His TD was a six-yard catch with four seconds left, putting them an extra point away from overtime. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We move to New Orleans where Ja&#8217;Marr showcased his WR 1 week against the Saints. In 10 attempts, he caught seven passes for 132 yards and a couple of TDs. He caught a 15-yard TD pass late in the third to make it a two-point game. With two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Ja&#8217;Marr was open for a 60-yard TD that gave the Bengals the win.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/StevRh00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-21_pfr">Rhamondre Stevenson</a> was slated as the Patriots&#8217; RB 2 behind <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HarrDa06.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-21_pfr">Damien Harris</a>. New England does multiple RB packages so they are fresh. He had a decent rookie season where he ran for 606 yards and five TDs. It was hopeful that he would have better stats as he did have 22.70 FP in Week 17 in 2021. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DRAFT EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rhamondre had an ADP of 110.1. With this ADP, he was the 37th RB taken in fantasy football. He would be taken around the 9th round which would be reserved for the bench. That would be a good value for someone who had a good rookie season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>OVERALL SEASON PRODUCTION</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Congratulations to owners if you drafted Rhamondre Stevenson as he took over the starting job with Damien Harris getting injured. He blew everyone&#8217;s expectations after a season that put him as the 7th-best RB in all of football and 30th overall player. Through 17 games he ran for 1040 yards and five TDs. He caught an impressive 69 passes for 421 yards and a TD. Another great season is expected for Rhamondre.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CRITICAL MOMENTS DURING THE SEASON</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 3 vs Baltimore Ravens</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Rhamondre Stevenson breakout season began in Week 3 against the Ravens. He rushed 12 times for 73 yards and a one-yard TD in the final quarter to make it a smaller lead for the Ravens. He also caught four passes for 28 yards. The combo of Stevenson and Harris was working at this point.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Patriots?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Patriots</a> snap counts vs. Baltimore<br>&#8211; Bourne&#39;s 18 were lowest on offense. </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 6 vs Cleveland Browns</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Week 6 was the first game where Damien Harris wasn&#8217;t available so Rhamondre had the keys to the offense. He ran through the Browns with 19 rushes for 76 yards and two TDs. He rushed for a 31-yard TD late in the 2nd quarter and a six-yard TD late in the 4th quarter to seal the deal. It looked like Rhamondre owned the backfield and Damien Harris owners would have to find alternatives. He had a season-high 25.10 FP.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 15 vs Las Vegas Raiders</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Patriots vs. Raiders game was one of the most memorable games of the season. What is forgotten is Rhamondre&#8217;s season-high rushing performance. Stevenson ran for 172 yards and a 34-yard TD that put the Pats up 24017 with four minutes left in the game. What will only be remembered is the <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MeyeJa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-21_pfr">Jakobi Meyers</a> pass to <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneCh03.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-21_pfr">Chandler Jones</a> and the stiff arm to <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneMa05.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-21_pfr">Mac Jones</a> for the game-winning TD.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HenrDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-03-20_pfr">Derrick Henry</a> has been one of the most consistent players in fantasy. The year before, injuries bothered him for the first time as he was only available to play eight games. Even in those limited games, he was able to rush for 937 yards and 10 TDs. Owners were wondering if his health would be a factor going forward, especially after what happened in 2021.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">With guys like Derrick Henry, Austin Ekeler, Alvin Kamara, Aaron Jones and James Conner starting to age out, will the ave. top 10 RB age drop again starting this year in fantasy football? <a href="https://t.co/a1xaePH9qO">pic.twitter.com/a1xaePH9qO</a></p>&mdash; Dynasty Surge ?? </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>DRAFT EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fantasy owners were still high on him as he was the 10th player taken in fantasy. He was the fourth RB taken, which was understandable in a PPR league. Being behind JT, CMC, and Ekeler is nothing to be ashamed of as they can catch the ball also. Having Henry would keep the RB1 position in your team in good hands.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The year is 2029. And people are still debating if Derrick Henry should be the top pick in fantasy drafts.</p>&mdash; Adam Rank (@adamrank) <a href="https://twitter.com/adamrank/status/1450269879131521029?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 19, 2021</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>OVERALL SEASON PRODUCTION</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Derrick Henry had a tremendous bounce-back year for fantasy owners as he was able to stay healthy for the season. He finished as the fourth-best RB in terms of PPR. The Titans&#8217; RB ran for 1538 yards and 13 TDs and caught 33 passes for 398 yards. Looking ahead into next season, Henry is being shopped by the Titans as they are moving towards rebuilding possibly. If he were to stay with the Titans next season, he is still an elite RB.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This is what it would be like if Derrick Henry was on the Dolphins. </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CRITICAL MOMENTS DURING THE SEASON</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 5 vs Washington Commanders</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After a slow start to the season, the Titans were catching steam ahead of their Week 5 matchup vs the Commanders. In a critical road game, Henry ran for 102 yards and two TDs. The first one came with 20 seconds left in the 2nd quarter. The last one turned out to be the final score as his one-yard run TD put Tennessee up 21-17. His performance gave him 27.20 FP. Three straight weeks of 20+ FP make owners rejoice.</p>

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Week 8 vs Houston Texans</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Derrick Henry&#8217;s favorite team is the Houston Texans. Whenever the two face each other, Henry always seems to bring out his best. This matchup gave him 35.80 FP, his most for the season. Henry ran for a season-high 219 yards and two TDs. The first TD came from a 29-yard run and the second was a TD from the one. Tennessee was on a hot streak as they hit their fifth straight win after starting 0-2.</p>
