<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Latest Waiver Wire targets in Week 2</h1>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By: Jake Rajala</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Week 1 is nearly in the books and it surely didn&#8217;t disappoint. There were a few games that were more entertaining than the first season of Squid Game. Furthermore, there were a ton of under-the-radar players that dazzled and deserved to grab the attention of fantasy owners. With that said, I&#8217;m going to untwine several waiver wire targets in Week 2. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Holy smokes. Baker Mayfield launches a Hail Mary and Donovan Peoples-Jones comes down with it! <a href="https://t.co/EucELAu2lq">pic.twitter.com/EucELAu2lq</a></p>&mdash; Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) <a href="https://twitter.com/MySportsUpdate/status/1449852444893196294?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 17, 2021</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Donovan Peoples-Jones</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Cleveland Browns wideout Donovan Peoples-Jones may not have the same resume as Amari Cooper, but he still led the Browns in targets, receptions, and receiving yards yesterday. He is only rostered in 4% of the Yahoo leagues. DPJ should continue to garner excellent match-ups as the WR2 and I expect him to really blossom with Deshaun Watson late in the season.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Marcus Mariota</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I honestly loved Marcus Mariota&#8217;s performance in Week 1. The former Heisman winner didn&#8217;t come out with a victory against the New Orleans Saints, but he did have 215 passing yards, a potent 72 rushing yards, and a touchdown (and a fumble). It&#8217;s also worth noting that Mariota performed well against a likely Top-3 defense in New Orleans. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Welcome to ATL Marcus Mariota. <a href="https://t.co/QuRn5SHc2v">pic.twitter.com/QuRn5SHc2v</a></p>&mdash; Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) <a href="https://twitter.com/AtlantaFalcons/status/1569038914849062914?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 11, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Julio Jones</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was noted that Julio Jones was the fastest player on the Buccaneers this off-season. Jones didn&#8217;t exactly appear to be washed up in Week 1. The Falcons legend connected with Tom Brady on a 48-yard pass &amp; finished with three catches for 69 yards. Jones is rostered in 62% of Yahoo leagues. </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Jameis Winston</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The third NFC South player on this list, Jameis Winston, started to really cook in the fourth quarter of the Saints-Falcons game. Winston unleashed 13 completions on 16 attempts, 213 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, and 0 interceptions. It&#8217;s also refreshing to see Michael Thomas back and healthy for his QB (2 TDs in Week 1). </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Saints record w/ Jameis Winston as QB1:<br><br>6-2 <a href="https://t.co/In56mIf9IN">pic.twitter.com/In56mIf9IN</a></p>&mdash; CBS Sports (@CBSSports) <a href="https://twitter.com/CBSSports/status/1569058268420374528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 11, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Jeff Wilson</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The illustrious 49ers RB Elijah Mitchell could miss numerous contests after his hurting his knee in Week 1. The 49ers RB2 is none other than Jeff Wilson. His most productive campaign was in 2020 (600 rushing yards, 7 rushing TDs, and 4.8 YPC). He is currently rostered in 16% of Yahoo leagues. </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Rex Burkhead</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rex Burkhead was certainly involved all-around for the Houston Texans on Sunday. He had 40 rushing yards and five catches from Davis Mills. The 32-year-old RB refuses to decay. He is only rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues and 17% of ESPN leagues. </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Cleveland Browns defense</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Myles Garrett was an absolute menace against his former QB Baker Mayfield on Sunday. He sacked Mayfield twice (and almost a third time). The best part is that the hungry Browns team faces a Joe Flacco-led Jets team in Week 2. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Myles Garrett with back to back sacks on his old teammate Baker… <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/DawgPound?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#DawgPound</a> <a href="https://t.co/5FZgEENB5Q">pic.twitter.com/5FZgEENB5Q</a></p>&mdash; Emmanuel Acho (@EmmanuelAcho) <a href="https://twitter.com/EmmanuelAcho/status/1569041936471986176?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 11, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Who is the best RB trade target for the Saints?</h1>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By: Jake Rajala</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The New Orleans Saints Pro Bowl running back Alvin Kamara could face a six-game suspension for his unfortunate off-field incident at the 2022 Pro Bowl. With that said, I&#8217;m going to simply untwine three running backs that could be logical RB trade targets for the Saints &#8212; as they could help replace AK at the beginning of 2022. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Alvin Kamara and MJ on the racetrack ??<br><br>(via <a href="https://twitter.com/NASCAR?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@NASCAR</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/Saints?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Saints</a>) <a href="https://t.co/Vl9zDCLMFQ">pic.twitter.com/Vl9zDCLMFQ</a></p>&mdash; Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) <a href="https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1540818938132680704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 25, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Jeff Wilson</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 49ers simply have a loaded backfield in 2022. They have the elite ball-carrier Elijah Mitchell, the rookie Tyrion Davis Price, the fifth-year RB Jeff Wilson, and the motivated, second-year RB Trey Sermon. I really believe the Saints should be aggressive to land the 49ers third-string RB in Jeff Wilson. The 49ers could deal him for a late-round draft pick and still have three young, talented ball carriers in their offense. Wilson nicely had 600 rushing yds, 7 rushing TDs, and 3 receiving TDs in 2020. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Jeff Wilson Jr. x2 <br><br>?: <a href="https://twitter.com/NFLonFOX?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@NFLonFOX</a> <a href="https://t.co/OqoTnLVC9l">pic.twitter.com/OqoTnLVC9l</a></p>&mdash; San Francisco 49ers (@49ers) <a href="https://twitter.com/49ers/status/1345889178567905281?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 4, 2021</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Raheem Mostert</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Saints have the power back in Mark Ingram, but they will miss the juice from AK in potentially the first six games next season. The Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert can certainly be the lightning to Ingram&#8217;s thunder. He notched 772 rushing yds and 8 rushing TDs in 2019. He was quite efficient in 2020, as he mustered out 521 rushing yds and averaged 5 yards per carry in 2020 (8 games played). Similar to Wilson, Mostert is in a loaded backfield in Miami and Mike McDaniel (aka the disciple of Kyle Shanahan) could ship out Mostert to the RB-needy Saints.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Kareem Hunt</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It may be hard for the Saints to acquire Kareem Hunt or an RB with a similar caliber as Hunt. Nonetheless, the former Chiefs RB is easily the best RB2 (behind Nick Chubb) in the NFL at this moment. Hence, it may be easier to acquire Hunt than starting RBs that have less talent. Hunt registered 841 rushing yds and 6 TDs in 2020. PFF also suggested that the Saints should lobby for the brute RB in Cleveland. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">One minute compilation of Kareem Hunt’s footwork <a href="https://t.co/qXzQ39ExZM">pic.twitter.com/qXzQ39ExZM</a></p>&mdash; Theo Ash (@TheoAshNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheoAshNFL/status/1542331458995384320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 30, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
