<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To tank or not to tank? That is the question the bottom tier NBA teams ask each year when they know they can&#8217;t compete. Unlike the NFL, the NBA has a draft lottery system that is supposed to stop teams from tanking. Do teams still tank? Sure they do but they are taking a pretty big risk when doing so.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">What are the Odds?</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Let&#8217;s take a quick look at the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery better known as the &#8220;Victor Wembanyama&#8221; sweepstakes. Three of the leagues worst teams the Pistons, Spurs and Rockets came into the lottery with 14% odds of winning. In the end the Spurs came away victorious and now get the rights to pick Wembanyama. It&#8217;s important to note that the Pistons had the league&#8217;s worst record (17-65) but ended up with the 5th overall pick.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">The NFL and Tanking</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now let&#8217;s take a closer look at the NFL draft and structure. Does the NFL have a tanking problem? Most would say it doesn&#8217;t although there are some teams that make interesting moves down the stretch. When you look back at the 2022-2023 NFL season the Houston Texans were primed to get the 1st overall pick in the draft. They just needed to lose to the Colts and they were set. Well Lovie Smith and crew were not having it as the Texans ended up winning 32-31 in dramatic fashion. It just goes to show you there a many variables to keep in mind when tanking. </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">NFL Draft Lottery in the Future?</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There are many arguing that the NFL should implement a draft lottery and I get it. It would become another primetime showcase event for the league. It would draw millions of viewers and fans would be on the edge of their seat. I just don&#8217;t think the NFL needs it. They don&#8217;t have a tanking problem in my eyes and the league is full of parity. The worst team in the league could become a playoff team in just one year with the right draft picks. The NFL should stand pat and not mess with a good thing. Mixing up the draft structure now when it&#8217;s already one of the top events of the year is not the right move.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Only 31 players heard their names in the first round of the NFL Draft. The beautiful thing about drafting is that no one is ever 100% correct. We have seen multiple Hall of Famers and Pro Bowlers go in the later rounds or even go undrafted. In this list, we will look at non-first-rounders who you should keep your eyes on in fantasy.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Michael Mayer TE Las Vegas Raiders</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Raiders stole the top TE prospect in multiple draft boards in Michael Mayer in the second round. The tight end from Notre Dame was expected to go in the first round but fell to the early part of the second rounder. With the Raiders trading away <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WallDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-05_pfr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Darren Waller</a>, they get a pass-catching TE that will be able to start right away for the Raiders. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GaroJi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-05_pfr">Jimmy Garoppolo</a> will enjoy having a reliable tight end in day one.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Tank Dell WR Houston Texans</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">CJ Stroud&#8217;s wish came true when the Texans used their third round pick on Tank Dell. A WR out of the University of Houston, he is the perfect slot receiver who will help Stroud. He had 1254 yards and 15 TDs in his last season in college, however his size pushed him to the third round. Being in the QB of the future&#8217;s wishlist does make Dell someone worth monitoring. With no established names in the wide receiving corp, Tank Dell can surprise everyone in training camp.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Jalin Hyatt WR New York Giants</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Giants did their job off giving more help to <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneDa05.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-05_pfr">Daniel Jones</a> when they selected Jalin Hyatt in the third round. A lot projected him to be selected higher but this is a steal for the Giants. A deep threat, he will help stretch the field and hope to catch deep passes from Jones. If all goes well, the Giants hope to make the playoffs again next season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now that the 2023 NFL Draft is over it&#8217;s time for team grades. While not as wild as originally predicated, this year&#8217;s draft still had plenty of surprises. It&#8217;s hard to beat what the Houston Texans did on Thursday night. They were not afraid to trade back into the third spot and now have future stars on both offense and defense. On the other side of the spectrum the New England Patriots pulled of a head scratcher, drafting a Punter and a Kicker. Let&#8217;s take a closer look at our draft grades and see how the other teams fared.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 1st round of the NFL Draft gave us surprises at every turn. From shocking trades to certain players in the green room not being called, the draft has been a spectacle worth watching as you can be trending at any moment. This is the start of these players&#8217; NFL lives and soon, we will be reading their names in all these fantasy articles. Here is the preliminary look of 1st round picks to watch out for in fantasy.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>QUARTERBACKS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#1 Bryce Young &#8211; Carolina Panthers</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bryce Young is in Carolina after months of anticipation. He had been first overall on draft boards for the longest time when Carolina made the trade. We will see if the size concerns are legitimate as he is expected to start early on for the Panthers. Carolina did a good job bringing in pieces such as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/ThieAd00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Adam Thielen</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HursHa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Hayden Hurst</a>. Unless he&#8217;s a total bust, Bryce will have a strong rookie season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Carolina is getting a STAR in Bryce Young ?<br><br>-23-4 record<br>-2020 national champ<br>-2021 Heisman Trophy winner<br>-2x All-SEC honors<br>-2021 AP Player of the Year<br>-Only Bama QB to throw for 3,000+ YDS in two seasons<br>-Nick Saban’s first No. 1 overall pick <a href="https://t.co/aTo9uWhTMQ">pic.twitter.com/aTo9uWhTMQ</a></p>&mdash; Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) <a href="https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1651742210080260096?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 28, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#2 C.J. Stroud &#8211; Houston Texans</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After all the noise in the pre-draft process, the Texans took the best QB available at number two. With all the propaganda against Stroud, his stock was falling and even the gambling lines weren&#8217;t a fan of him. Stroud goes into a rebuilding situation in Houston with few good options such as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=WoodRo02,WoodRo21,WoodRo00&amp;amp;search=Robert+Woods&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Robert Woods</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PierDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Dameon Pierce</a>. With Houston being in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL, he can make noise early on. The stats might not look as nice but I believe in C.J. Stroud.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">H-Town let’s get it!!!! ?? <a href="https://t.co/VUp8th6gt0">pic.twitter.com/VUp8th6gt0</a></p>&mdash; CJ Stroud (@CJ7STROUD) <a href="https://twitter.com/CJ7STROUD/status/1652317045587951623?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 29, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#4 Anthony Richardson &#8211; Indianapolis Colts</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Colts shocked the draft boards when they selected Anthony Richardson with the fourth pick of the draft. Many were speculating that Will Levis would be the pick but the Colts were higher on Richardson. Richardson comes in as a project as he will need experience first. So, expect a rocky season in terms of win-loss record. His running game could give him points, like what <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FielJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Justin Fields</a> did last season. I expect AR to be the starter as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MinsGa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Gardner Minshew</a> will serve as a good backup to him to help him grow. He&#8217;s worth stashing since he&#8217;ll most likely have a rocky start.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">A dream come true <a href="https://twitter.com/Colts?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Colts</a> ?<a href="https://twitter.com/EAMaddenNFL?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@eamaddennfl</a> | <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/EAathlete?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#EAathlete</a> <a href="https://t.co/GRAznPMbSn">pic.twitter.com/GRAznPMbSn</a></p>&mdash; Anthony Richardson † (@GVOaant) <a href="https://twitter.com/GVOaant/status/1651780652956540928?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 28, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>RUNNING BACKS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#8 Bijan Robinson &#8211; Atlanta Falcons</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bijan Robinson had been touted as the best non-QB offensive weapon in this class. With the value of RBs decreasing, his talent level was respected very much as he had top-10 pick status in mock drafts. Atlanta chose to use their eighth pick on him in the draft. Now, he would be their top RB and a nice piece for Desmond Rider. People were hoping he would go somewhere else where his talent can shine more. The Falcons drafted <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AllgTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Tyler Allgeier</a> last year and he just ran for over 1000 yards. I think it&#8217;s safe to assume Bijan will get the workload immediately. Allgeier could steal some snaps early on, especially if he&#8217;s doing well.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#12 Jahmyr Gibbs &#8211; Detroit Lions</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Detroit Lions traded down to 12 and got two more picks for the 6th and 81st. They surprisingly took Jahmyr Gibbs out of Alabama with the 12th pick. Draft boards had Gibbs to be drafted later in the first round and running back isn&#8217;t a need for the Lions. Besides keeping <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SwifDA00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">D&#8217;Andre Swift</a>, they also signed <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MontDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">David Montgomery</a> in the offseason. This might be a tough first season production-wise for Gibbs as he will have two established players ahead of him. Keep him on your mind in case any of the two gets injured during the season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Update: D&#8217;Andre Swift has been traded to the Eagles so this leaves Gibbs with the potential to have a decent rookie season. It could be similar to the Swift-Williams combo last season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Detroit! I&#39;m honored to join the Lions family. </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WIDE RECEIVERS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#20 Jaxon Smith-Njigba &#8211; Seattle Seahawks</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The first wide receiver off the board took longer than expected as the Seahawks took Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Many of the mocks had him as early as 12th to the Texans but the teams went with other options. This pick is interesting as he goes to a wide receiver room of DK Metcalf and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LockTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Tyler Lockett</a>. In case Lockett, leaves JSN would serve as a good replacement and it gives <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitGe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Geno Smith</a> an extra weapon. JSN would be worth drafting in the middle to late rounds.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#21 Quentin Johnson &#8211; Los Angeles Chargers</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Chargers went for a receiver a pick after when they took Quentin Johnson. A monster of a man, he makes the Chargers receiving core even bigger and much richer. It will be hard to spread the ball around with <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=WillMi07,WillMi23,WillMi04,WillMi22,WillMi03,WillMi00,WillMi02,WillMi21&amp;amp;search=Mike+Williams&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Mike Williams</a>, <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AlleKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Keenan Allen</a>, and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/EkelAu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Austin Ekeler</a> getting passes from <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HerbJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Justin Herbert</a>. <p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#22 Zay Flowers &#8211; Baltimore Ravens</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What a day for the Baltimore Ravens as they were able to secure Lamar for the future and get him help with Zay Flowers. The wide receivers in Baltimore weren&#8217;t impressive last season. Now, with OBJ, Flowers, and Andrews, Lamar will feel much more comfortable in the passing game with Baltimore. Flowers is very explosive and can go off in those long TD catch and runs.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#23 Jordan Addison &#8211; Minnesota Vikings</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While losing Adam Thielen to Carolina hurt, they have found his replacement in Jordan Addison. The wide receiver prospect out of Minnesota will enjoy <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CousKi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Kirk Cousins</a>&#8216; passes and being beside <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JeffJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Justin Jefferson</a>. He is the perfect complement for him and can have a sneaky good year for the Vikings.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TIGHT ENDS</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#25 Dalton Kincaid &#8211; Buffalo Bills</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Buffalo Bills drafted the only tight end in the first round with Utah&#8217;s Dalton Kincaid. Dalton is more of a pass-catcher which makes it interesting as <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KnoxDa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Dawson Knox</a> still has years left in his contract. It does give <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/search/search.fcgi?pid=AlleJo02,AlleJo03,AlleJo00&amp;amp;search=Josh+Allen&amp;amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-05-01_pfr">Josh Allen</a> more weapons and different looks such as possibly double tight-end plays. It may take a year or two for Dalton to be a fantasy option but he has the skills to be a good pass-catcher.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What makes the NFL Draft a spectacle is the surprise trades that come when the draft clock is winding down. These trades can change the direction of the franchise. The Chiefs traded up for the 10th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to get <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MahoPa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-25_pfr">Patrick Mahomes</a>. The rest is history. But not all trades have their Cinderella endings. In 2010, Denver traded up to the 25th pick for <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TeboTi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-25_pfr">Tim Tebow</a> and his career never panned out as expected. With all the good and bad, teams will still trade on draft day. Here, we discuss possible trade scenarios that can shock the draft.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TENNESSEE TITANS TRADE UP TO THE TOP 10</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Tennessee has become a target for trade talks as there are rumors that <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HenrDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-25_pfr">Derrick Henry</a> could be traded very soon. Other than that, the QB situation seems even worse. The Titans feel they are done with <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TannRy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-25_pfr">Ryan Tannehill</a> and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillMa12.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-25_pfr">Malik Willis</a> hasn&#8217;t developed as they hoped he would. Trading up would give them a chance with C.J. Stroud, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson. With the AFC South as one of the weakest divisions in the NFL, a rebuild can show fruitful results very soon.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>INDIANAPOLIS COLTS TRADE UP FOR NUMBER 2</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Indianapolis Colts have been linked to so many quarterbacks at the number four spot. It feels like the front office is split between C.J. Stroud, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson. Now, talks are Houston could draft a non-QB with the second pick. However, this could be used to swerve other teams and keep people guessing. With the Colts having trouble searching for that franchise QB, moving up may hurt them picks-wise, but it will make the future much clearer.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>KANSAS CITY CHIEFS MAKE THE CROWD ROAR</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The NFL Draft is a spectacle for everyone involved. With all the mock drafts out on the internet, it&#8217;s never a guaranteed hit. We see players sitting in the green room from <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RodgAa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-24_pfr">Aaron Rodgers</a> to <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/Q/QuinBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-24_pfr">Brady Quinn</a> for hours. Here, we look at chaotic scenarios that could change the NFL Draft and the players that might be affected by this. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CHAOS #1:</strong> <strong>HOUSTON TEXANS DON&#8217;T TAKE A QB AT PICK #2 </strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>[PLAYER AFFECTED: C.J. STROUD]</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">C.J. Stroud has been the talk of the town the past few days. When the Panthers traded for the top pick, the gambling lines turned to Stroud as the favorite to be the first pick of the draft. After a few weeks have gone by, not only has Bryce Young been the heavy favorite to be the top pick, Stroud might not even be the second pick.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">CJ Stroud recently took 1 of the hardest tests a QB can take<br><br>His score?<br><br>348 yards/4 TD/0 INT on 34 attempts pressured on 19-of-44 dropbacks vs Georgia’s NFL defense<br><br>L2Y over 30 games only 1 other QB threw for 300+ yards with 0 INT vs UGA.. Bryce Young<br><br> <a href="https://t.co/xZTzwZyRgG">pic.twitter.com/xZTzwZyRgG</a></p>&mdash; Thor Nystrom (@thorku) <a href="https://twitter.com/thorku/status/1649553643593449479?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 21, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As of this writing, Will Levis has overtaken Stroud as the favorite to be the second overall pick. This has shocked everyone as some mocked Levis for going in the middle of the first round to even late in the first round. Back to C.J., there are those that say he is &#8220;uncoachable&#8221; and those words came out of nowhere. Another reason for &#8220;worry&#8221; is his 18 on the S2 Cognition Test. Now this test focuses on a QB&#8217;s ability in decision-making. He was the worst by far in terms of scoring, and this has executives worried about him overall. Studies have shown that those who don&#8217;t do well in the S2 Cognition Test, don&#8217;t translate in the NFL.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Update: The S2 Cognition test results for the 2023 QB Draft class, per <a href="https://twitter.com/BobMcGinn?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@BobMcGinn</a>:<br><br>Bryce Young &#8211; 98%<br>Jake Haener &#8211; 96%<br>Will Levis &#8211; 93%<br>Jaren Hall &#8211; 93%<br>Clayton Tune &#8211; 84%<br>Anthony Richardson &#8211; 79%<br>Hendon Hooker &#8211; 46%<br>CJ Stroud &#8211; 18%<br><br>(<a href="https://twitter.com/ShanePHallam?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@ShanePHallam</a>) <a href="https://t.co/UEtFkFkBja">pic.twitter.com/UEtFkFkBja</a></p>&mdash; Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) <a href="https://twitter.com/NFL_DovKleiman/status/1649416648913305600?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 21, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">C.J. Stroud has been touted as at least the second-best QB prospect in this draft. With this, Houston is second and they need a QB, however, they aren&#8217;t sold on it as they want to see more of <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MillDa02.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-24_pfr">Davis Mills</a>. If they don&#8217;t draft a QB, this could be trouble as the Colts and Seahawks have their eyes on other QB prospects. Maybe another team trades up for Stroud but that remains the case.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CHAOS #2:</strong> <strong>INDIANAPOLIS COLTS TAKE ANTHONY RICHARDSON AT PICK #4 </strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>[PLAYER AFFECTED: WILL LEVIS]</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For every positive of Will Levis, there is a negative that worries NFL teams. From his weird-eating habits to his IG post of him shirtless, experts are stumped on where to put him. One NFL team that seems to like him is the Indianapolis Colts. They need a QB and are intrigued by Levis as he is more polished compared to Richardson. Now, what if Richardson is the surprise pick of the Colts? </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Will Levis makes throwing a ball over fifty yards look EASY ?<br><br>Levis is currently the favorite to be the second overall pick at the Draft. <a href="https://t.co/ihsMSg8JLv">pic.twitter.com/ihsMSg8JLv</a></p>&mdash; NFL Rookie Watch (@NFLRookieWatxh) <a href="https://twitter.com/NFLRookieWatxh/status/1650290549436432385?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 24, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The next team that may draft a quarterback is the Titans at 11th overall. Mock drafts however see them taking another position of need. The Patriots at 14 could be a sleeper, but Will doesn&#8217;t seem to be the prototype New England likes in a quarterback. I think Will gets drafted in the first round, but the wait may be a little longer than he hoped for.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">From NFL Now: What to make of the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Patriots?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Patriots</a> hosting QB prospect Will Levis? <a href="https://t.co/SKmbBPdipi">pic.twitter.com/SKmbBPdipi</a></p>&mdash; Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1649101061691523087?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 20, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CHAOS #3:</strong> <strong>SEATTLE SEAHAWKS SKIP ON A QB AT PICK #5</strong> </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>[PLAYER AFFECTED: ANTHONY RICHARDSON]</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Anthony Richardson to Seattle is my favorite pick for him as he is a raw prospect with great tools. The Seahawks do have <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitGe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-24_pfr">Geno Smith</a> signed to an extension, but it&#8217;s not a long-term contract. Having multiple first-round picks is a blessing for the Seahawks as they were one of the more surprising teams last season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Is Anthony Richardson the most intriguing QB in the 2023 Draft? <a href="https://twitter.com/GVOaant?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@GVOaant</a><br><br>?: 2023 <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NFLDraft?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#NFLDraft</a> &#8212; Starts Thursday, April 27 on NFLN/ESPN/ABC<br>?: Stream on NFL+ <a href="https://t.co/tEzEZombWs">pic.twitter.com/tEzEZombWs</a></p>&mdash; NFL (@NFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/NFL/status/1648122419981463552?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 18, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It&#8217;s possible that the Seahawks go for a talented defensive prospect with the fifth pick. Jalen Carter could be available after his weird past few weeks and months. The talent is there however and they rank him as one of the best defensive prospects. Anthony could be available at 20 for their second first-round pick but there&#8217;s no guarantee. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Look at last year&#8217;s <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillMa12.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-24_pfr">Malik Willis</a> as he had many similarities with Richardson. Both are athletes with great arms but lack experience. He was pegged as a first-round pick, but he slipped all the way to Day 2. Richardson does give that fear. The other top QB prospects held the starting job for at least multiple years while Richardson only had one. Only time will tell.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">How your starting QB performed when he got blitzed part 1?<br><br>Bryce Young: 92/160 57.5% 1,332 yards 19 TDs 2 INTS<br><br>CJ Stroud: 109/168 64.9% 1,711 yards 21 TDs 2 INTs<br><br>Anthony Richardson: 59/129 45.7% 890 yards 8 TDs 3 INTs<br><br>Caleb Williams: 100/158 63.3% 1,258 yards 19 TDs 1 INT… <a href="https://t.co/BZVsWP8B5l">pic.twitter.com/BZVsWP8B5l</a></p>&mdash; College Football Report (@CFBRep) <a href="https://twitter.com/CFBRep/status/1647780023200366597?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 17, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>CHAOS #4: CAROLINA PANTHERS SHOCK EVERYONE WITH C.J. STROUD AND HOUSTON TAKES A NON-QB </strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>[PLAYER AFFECTED: BRYCE YOUNG]</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This outcome seems the most unlikely as Stroud is the favorite to go first. The Texans at number two have been positive that they&#8217;ll take him if he&#8217;s available. However, anything is up in the air. Bryce Young is an interesting prospect as he has all the tools to be a successful quarterback. What makes him difficult is his size, which makes him an outlier. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The Outlier<a href="https://twitter.com/_bryce_young?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@_bryce_young</a> stars on the cover of SI&#39;s NFL draft preview: <a href="https://t.co/1pTRZLtsPB">https://t.co/1pTRZLtsPB</a> <a href="https://t.co/4vBTHFZPtt">pic.twitter.com/4vBTHFZPtt</a></p>&mdash; Sports Illustrated (@SInow) <a href="https://twitter.com/SInow/status/1649039637204160515?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 20, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Quarterbacks are a big investment and seeing Young scares a lot of teams. His size makes scouts and personnel worried about his durability, especially with numerous QB injuries that happened last season. With next year&#8217;s draft class having a much more intriguing QB class, teams may also wait instead of jumping the gun on Young. Personally, I wouldn&#8217;t take Young for the size concerns, but an NFL team will take a chance on him and hope they struck gold.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Welcome to the inaugural edition of the 2023 NFL Draft Focus. In this series, we will look at the incoming prospects hoping their names will be heard on draft night. Be sure to check often as we will produce content until the event’s start.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>BACKGROUND</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jordan Addison is a wide receiver prospect out of Maryland. Coming out of high school, he played multiple positions for his team. Rivals listed him as a three-star wide receiver. He decided to commit to the University of Pittsburgh.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Most <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Ravens?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Ravens</a> fans don’t know this, but Jordan Addison is Maryland born and raised. Jordan grew up in Frederick, Md. attending Tuscarora High School.<br><br>Addison’s High School tape is just silly ??<br><br>Would be cool to see Jordan come back to Maryland &amp; play in Baltimore.<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/RavensFlock?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#RavensFlock</a> <a href="https://t.co/wRGgVC9KoG">pic.twitter.com/wRGgVC9KoG</a></p>&mdash; ??? (@Flockville) <a href="https://twitter.com/Flockville/status/1628880556090920962?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 23, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a freshman, he started eight games for the Panthers. He led the team in almost all receiving statistics. He caught 60 passes for 666 yards and four touchdowns. In his second season with Pittsburgh, he was even more phenomenal. In 14 games, he caught 100 balls for 1593 yards. He had 17 TDs, which led all of college football. The awards came pouring in that year as he was a Consensus All-American and the <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BileFr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-22_pfr">Fred Biletnikoff</a> Award. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Jordan Addison is the first Pittsburgh player with 200 receiving yards and 4 reception TD in a game over the last 100 years. <a href="https://t.co/YwwBweeCd8">pic.twitter.com/YwwBweeCd8</a></p>&mdash; ESPN Stats &amp; Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNStatsInfo/status/1462218987798990848?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 21, 2021</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>2022-2023 COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a surprising turn of events, Addison transferred to USC before the start of his third season. With more eyes on him, he was still his elite self. He ended the season with 59 receptions for 875 yards and eight TDs. He was named to the First-team All-Pac 12 at the end of the season.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="ja" dir="ltr">WR Jordan Addison?USC?<br>??????????????????????????WR??????????????????????????????????????????????2??????????????????????strength????<a href="https://t.co/Cxn53HlOMd">pic.twitter.com/Cxn53HlOMd</a></p>&mdash; ????????? </div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STRENGTHS:</strong> <strong>Elite Route Running</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It&#8217;s very fun to watch Addison run his routes. He can easily separate from his defender due to his crafty moves. The receptions speak for themselves as he had 100 receptions and 17 TDs in his sophomore season. He looks like a fun RAC player especially if he&#8217;s open. With his size, he can start probably at the slot.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">He weighed in at just 173lbs, but former Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison’s production is hard to argue ? <br><br>Final 2 years:<br><br>??2,468 yards<br>??159 receptions<br>??15.5 YPC<br>??25TD<br><br>He missed time in his 1 year at USC, but he still performed when on the field!<a href="https://t.co/FlefgMuvS0">pic.twitter.com/FlefgMuvS0</a></p>&mdash; Redshirt Heisman (@TasteOfSport) <a href="https://twitter.com/TasteOfSport/status/1648422807351746560?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 18, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WEAKNESSES:</strong> <strong>Drops</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Drops were an issue for Jordan from his Pittsburgh days. With his talent, he should be more consistent and use his hands better. If he doesn&#8217;t solve his dropping issue, teams can lose patience easily.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PLAYER COMPARISON:</strong> <strong><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitDe07.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-22_pfr">DeVonta Smith</a></strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TEAMS WHO COULD DRAFT HIM</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jordan Addison is one of the most dynamic WRs in the draft and he will have a lot of love in the late first round. Minnesota and the Giants are two teams that would love to have him. The loss of <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/ThieAd00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-22_pfr">Adam Thielen</a> and the lack of an elite wide receiver in New York will make him look like a must-have.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">After a decorated college career for two schools, it’s finally time for Jordan Addison to reach the next level, where he enters as one of the top WR prospects in the Draft.

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Zay Flowers is a wide receiver prospect out of Florida. Coming out of NSU University School, he wasn&#8217;t heavily recruited by the big schools. Multiple websites had him ranked as a three-star prospect. He decided to commit to Boston College.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">New on ESPN: 2023 NFL draft stars who were unheralded recruits ?<br><br>Ranking high school prospects is never easy. Check out 6 players in the current draft class who’ve outplayed their recruiting projections, including Boston College WR Zay Flowers<br><br>STORY: <a href="https://t.co/8PHSeGaXlC">https://t.co/8PHSeGaXlC</a> <a href="https://t.co/qCYjmfwwnl">pic.twitter.com/qCYjmfwwnl</a></p>&mdash; The Underclassman Report (@TheUCReport) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheUCReport/status/1649035938448719872?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 20, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Zay had a steady rise in his college career. In his first season, he caught 22 passes for 341 yards and three TDs. He made the leap in his second season with 56 catches for 892 yards and nine touchdowns. This year got him his first First-team All-ACC. There was a slight decline in performance in his junior season. In year three, Flowers only caught 44 passes for 746 yards and five TDs. He was named to the Third-team All-ACC.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Zay Flowers= ?in a bottle <a href="https://t.co/u6Om6xFRvb">pic.twitter.com/u6Om6xFRvb</a></p>&mdash; Jeremy (@PopesFFH) <a href="https://twitter.com/PopesFFH/status/1648070379804545024?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 17, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>2022-2023 COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Flowers saved his best season for last as he had career-high numbers across the boards. In his final season, Zay had 78 receptions for 1077 yards and 12 touchdowns. This put him back for his second First-team All-ACC. He had gotten a reputation as one of the most electrifying wide receivers in college football.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Zay Flowers is my favorite WR in this class<br><br>No slight to JSN but I think Flowers’ skills will translate REALLY well from Day 1. Landing spot will be a big deal but I’m absolutely in love with the talent <a href="https://t.co/3nrH3eWish">pic.twitter.com/3nrH3eWish</a></p>&mdash; David Mendelson (@DMendy02) <a href="https://twitter.com/DMendy02/status/1649142085138673688?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 20, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STRENGTHS:</strong> <strong>Electric In The Open Field</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Few are as impactful and exciting to watch when Zay is in the open field. His speed and tempo make him a tough player to cover. His balance and route running are crisp and he can make catches down the sidelines. There is a path for him to make an impact on a contending team.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Zay Flowers <a href="https://t.co/OvIlrDfyQB">pic.twitter.com/OvIlrDfyQB</a></p>&mdash; Savage (@SavageSports_) <a href="https://twitter.com/SavageSports_/status/1648756575870283776?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 19, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WEAKNESSES:</strong> <strong>Size</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He has been listed as 5&#8217;9&#8243; and 182 lbs, so his size will definitely be in question as he is undersized and played as a WR 1. Teams will not want an undersized WR 1 for their team. Another problem with his size is his potential as a blocker. His arms are small also which can affect his catch radius.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PLAYER COMPARISON:</strong> <strong><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LockTy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-21_pfr">Tyler Lockett</a></strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TEAMS WHO COULD DRAFT HIM</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Zay will have a lot of suitors in the 20s in the first round. He played super well with a QB who wasn&#8217;t that good so he can shine in a team who takes him. The Chargers at #21 and Minnesota at #23 are good places to look at as they need WR help.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Siaki Ika is a defensive tackle prospect out of Utah. He had a dominant senior season with 89 tackles and 14 sacks. He was invited to big games such as the All-American Bowl and the Polynesian Bowl. Rivals listed him as the top player from Utah and was a four-star prospect. He committed to play for the LSU Tigers.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Baylor star DT Siaki Ika literally went to high school with Troy Bolton at East High. <a href="https://t.co/UGxubVEgDY">pic.twitter.com/UGxubVEgDY</a></p>&mdash; Straight To Murphys (@StraightMurphys) <a href="https://twitter.com/StraightMurphys/status/1575914317115015181?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 30, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Siaki had a fast start to his college career as he was part of LSU&#8217;s 2020 National Championship Team. In 13 games, he had 18 total tackles. In his second season, he only played for three games before he decided to transfer to the Baylor Bears. In these three games, he recorded five tackles and his first sack. His first season at Baylor was arguably his best as he had 24 total tackles and four sacks in 2021. He was announced as the Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year and first-team All-Big 12.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>2022-2023 COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He returned for his senior year last season. Siaki had 23 total tackles and forced 18 total pressures. For the second year in a row, he was a first-team All-Big 12. After another steady season at Baylor, he decided to enter the NFL Draft.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Become familiar with <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Baylor?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Baylor</a> NT Siaki Ika #62.<br><br>Verified 6-4, 354 pounds with nimble feet and natural power. <p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STRENGTHS:</strong> <strong>Prototype Size</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At 6&#8217;4&#8243;, he is the prototypical nose tackle in the NFL. He uses his size to cause chaos in the backfield. For his size, he has good agility and quickness. The use of his hands is overrated as he can use them on his opponents because of their weight and can swat balls down from the line of scrimmage.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WEAKNESSES:</strong> <strong>Plays Too High</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The usual complaint is he plays too high. Because of this, he looks unbalanced at times and misses some tackles. Blockers can get under his pads and stop him from making moves. There is a concern that he wasn&#8217;t able to get any sacks in his final season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PLAYER COMPARISON:</strong> <strong><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/ShelDa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-14_pfr">Danny Shelton</a></strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TEAMS WHO COULD DRAFT HIM</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now many sites grade him as a Day 2 pick. However, given the lack of people in his position, teams may draft him early to fill a position of need. He could potentially be drafted in the second or maybe even the first round.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Devon Witherspoon is a cornerback prospect out of Florida. He had a peculiar high school career as he only played for two years. He only started football as a junior and it turned out to be the right move. In his second year of playing football, he recorded 74 tackles, seven interceptions, and a couple of TDs. Rivals didn&#8217;t list him as any star prospect, but he took the chance and committed to play for the University of Illinois. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Devon Witherspoon didn’t start playing football until his junior year of high school.<br><br>Witherspoon was a 0-star recruit with 0 Power-5 offers, until Illinois took a chance on him.<br><br>Last season, Witherspoon didn’t allow a single TD and allowed a passer rating of 25.3<br><br>Now, he is… <a href="https://t.co/2l8mROrkrB">pic.twitter.com/2l8mROrkrB</a></p>&mdash; NFL Rookie Watch (@NFLRookieWatxh) <a href="https://twitter.com/NFLRookieWatxh/status/1625265924046524416?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 13, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Devon was able to play in all 13 games for Illinois as he racked up 33 total tackles. His second season was even better as he collected 33 total tackles and two interceptions in seven games. After a shortened season, he put up career highs in multiple stats in his junior season. He had 52 total tackles and a sack in 10 starts.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">McCourt is in Session for <a href="https://twitter.com/IlliniAthletics?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@IlliniAthletics</a> CB Devon Witherspoon<br><br>Take a look at some of his best film with <a href="https://twitter.com/JasonMcCourty?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@JasonMcCourty</a> <a href="https://t.co/uiD3E2d0Tu">pic.twitter.com/uiD3E2d0Tu</a></p>&mdash; Good Morning Football (@gmfb) <a href="https://twitter.com/gmfb/status/1643974708470378498?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 6, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>2022-2023 COLLEGE CAREER</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In his final year, Devon was one of the best defensive backs in all of college football. In 738 snaps, he had 42 total tackles and three interceptions. The best stat in my opinion is that when being targeted, the QBR was just 24.6. He earned numerous All-American awards and was praised often for his unique route to his NFL dream.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Look how quickly Devon Witherspoon (field) fires downhill before getting his hand on the ball. Led all of the top CBs with 1.4 PBU/game, per <a href="https://twitter.com/SportsInfo_SIS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@SportsInfo_SIS</a>. <a href="https://t.co/hd274W6msO">pic.twitter.com/hd274W6msO</a></p>&mdash; Mina Kimes (@minakimes) <a href="https://twitter.com/minakimes/status/1643400625831673856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 4, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STRENGTHS:</strong> <strong>Intelligence</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He has good anticipation on passes and he can read receivers&#8217; routes very well. He also has the ability to read the quarterbacks&#8217; eyes and can make quick decisions when the ball is thrown. Man coverage is where he shines as he believes he can handle any wide receiver that lines up against him.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Reminder: Devon Witherspoon is capable of making plays like this?<br><br> <a href="https://t.co/fGVQpqtVuK">pic.twitter.com/fGVQpqtVuK</a></p>&mdash; PFF College (@PFF_College) <a href="https://twitter.com/PFF_College/status/1645466059682488320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 10, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">WEAKNESSES: <strong>Too Aggressive At Times</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The problem with his intelligence is that he often targets the big plays. By being overaggressive, he sometimes gets penalized for it a bit too much and needs to catch up for the tackle. This will be a possible problem once he faces the bigger WRs in the NFL. He needs to improve also in press coverage.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PLAYER COMPARISON:</strong> <strong><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WallLe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=profootballmania.com&amp;utm_campaign=2023-04-13_pfr">Levi Wallace</a></strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>TEAMS WHO COULD DRAFT HIM</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A team will be lucky to have their hands on Devon Witherspoon. He is consistently ranked as a top-three cornerback in this draft. Some have him before the top 10 while others have him in the later first half of the draft. A sneaky team could be the Raiders at seven who need to shore up on defense. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Devon Witherspoon is my CB1, potentially my top overall player in the draft and a flat-out assassin on the field.
