We are back with our waiver wire pickups for week 3 of the NFL season. There were some pretty significant injuries to running backs including Nick Chubb who is likely lost for the season. Before you make your waiver wire claims check out our suggestions below of who to pick up.

Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford – (32.3% Owned)

It turns out Stafford can still have success without Cooper Kupp. Stafford has thrown for over 300+ yards in his first two games as he continues to build rapport with his young receivers. One of those targets is of course Puka Nacua who is on a record-breaking pace in his rookie season. If you’re struggling at the quarterback position, Stafford is worth a look.

Running Backs

Jerome Ford – (13.1% Owned)

We now know star running back Nick Chubb is out for the season which means it’s Jerome Ford’s time to shine. Chubb suffered a gruesome knee injury on Monday night that was so bad they couldn’t show the replay. In his absence, Ford showed he is more than capable of taking over the lead-back role. Ford finished with 106 rushing yards including an impressive 69-yard scamper. Cleveland will need more of that from him to have any chance this season.

Matt Breida – (1.6% Owned)

Another key injury at the running back position was to Saquon Barkley who went down with an ankle injury. It looks as of now that Barkley will miss 2-3 weeks as he recovers. Matt Breida will most likely take over the starting duties but don’t expect huge production. Breida has been quiet thus far this season and should only be claimed if you are deep at the RB position.

Jaylen Warren – (40.7% Owned)

Now is the time to pick up Jaylen Warren if he is available in your league. Warren has looked like the more explosive back in the Pittsburgh Steelers backfield thus far. With Najee Harris struggling it’s only a matter of time until Warren gets more touches. What should you do with Harris? It’s time to think about putting him on the trade block.

Wide Receivers

Skyy Moore – (59.6% Owned)

It took a while but Skyy Moore finally showed his upside in week 2. Moore caught his first NFL receiving touchdown versus the Jaguars as he finished with 70 yards on the day. It’s still too early to lock him into your starting lineup but this is encouraging for Moore going forward.

Marvin Mims Jr. – (15.1% Owned)

The volume isn’t there yet but Mims Jr. showcased his speed on Sunday against the Washington Commanders. Mims Jr. had 113 yards on only 2 targets including a touchdown. He was also impressive on special teams as he returned a punt for 45 yards. If Mims and Russell Wilson can continue to build chemistry he could be a big threat in the Broncos offense.

Tight Ends

Zach Ertz – (29.2% Owned)

Zach Ertz hasn’t found the end zone yet in 2023 but the volume has been there. Ertz has 18 targets in his first 2 games as Joshua Dobbs has shown he is not afraid to throw him the ball. Expect this to continue and for Ertz to eventually have a break-out performance.

What is Moore’s dynasty outlook in 2023 and beyond?

Skyy Moore was the consensus rookie 1.08 in rookie drafts (single QB) coming into the year, ahead of a couple of players who’ve had more utility this year (rookie draft info per FantasyPros). He was a draft darling, balling out in the Group of Five Mid-American Conference. While Moore has yet to show that on the field, how should he be viewed from a long-term perspective? Let’s dive into what to do if you’re a Skyy Moore dynasty manager or an interested party looking to acquire him.

2022

Skyy Moore was the 13th WR taken in the 2022 NFL draft, but a combination of ability on the field with the ball and landing spot pushed him way up draft boards. I’ll be honest, I was guilty of it too, thinking him vs Chris Olave was a tough choice. Moore landed in Kansas City with the best QB in football and a questionable depth chart. So he should have had a big 2022, right?

While disappointing, I’m not as concerned about 2022 with Skyy Moore. It may be a bit of confirmation bias, but MAC to the NFL is a big jump. Most players going from a non-Power Five to the NFL will take adjustment, especially one who likely didn’t need to be perfect to get open. Heck, Davante Adams, now one of the great NFL WRs, took two full years to adjust before his year 3 breakout.

Skyy Moore is projected to be the first early declare Wide Receiver from Group of Five to be drafted by round 2 since 2014.

The last? Davante Adams of course.

Seems like a one for one comp is clearly in order.
— Jakob Sanderson (@JakobSanderson) April 4, 2022

I’m not worried about Skyy Moore. The Chiefs built an offense with a clear deep threat, a possession WR, a gadget player, and an elite TE. They then added an explosive player at the deadline. I think Moore can help at all these spots, as he’s a strong athlete, can get open short deep. We’ve seen in short spurts that Moore is the Chiefs fill-in for the possession short-area target.

While still learning this year, the Chiefs have tried to incorporate Moore more as the year went along, including multiple 6 target weeks as the underneath option. One of those weeks even resulted in a WR36 overall finish in half-PPR leagues. There’s also plenty of additional room for growth within that role, as Juju Smith-Schuster has hit 8 or more targets in half of his 16 games. While not elite numbers, he did finish as WR28 on the year and that role has room for growth with a more explosive player like Moore.

2023

Of the six WRs seeing playing time in Kansas City, only three remain under contract beyond the current season. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore. Juju Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, and Justin Watson are all free agents after the year ends. These players, while important, are hardly the most important players due for new deals. If you want someone smarter about the WR position to tell you, check out the video below.

Steve Smith has High Praises for Skyy Moore ? pic.twitter.com/U7qN0h163i
— ???™ ? (@TreKnowsBall) December 21, 2022

The Chiefs currently are slated to lose four of their five offensive tackles, including 2022 franchise player Orlando Brown. They project to have just $20M or so in cap space. They thought enough of Moore to pick him in the second round from a small school. I’m guessing he gets a shot in 2023 to prove he can ascend into a full-time role. The Chiefs need to allocate money towards the offensive line and extensions for some upcoming free agents.

Skyy Moore’s value

So what is the value of Skyy Moore dynasty shares? Not great. Since the preseason hype peaked his value as a top-30 WR on KeepTradeCut, the consensus view has fallen to just inside the top 60. At WR, not overall. Unless you’re a contender who needs help somewhere else he’s a hold for me, but I also understand the hesitancy. WRs who play as little as Moore has don’t typically hit in year 2.

Latest bold predictions for the Kansas City Chiefs

By: Jake Rajala

The Kansas City Chiefs are blocking out the slander thrown out at them for trading away Tyreek Hill – as they strive to return to the big dance. With that said, I’m going to untwine 10 bold predictions for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022.

That's a dot to J. Wat ?@patrickmahomes x @jwat05 pic.twitter.com/Rhv3eol3ho
— Kansas City Chiefs (@Chiefs) August 17, 2022

Jerick McKinnon has 1,000+ all-purpose yards

The explosive “Jet” came back from the dead and unveiled 315 all-purpose yds in the latest playoff gauntlet. It’s hard not to have hope for CEH, but I expect an in-sync McKinnon to have a large piece of the Chiefs offensive pie and dazzle with the opportunity.

George Karlaftis has double-digit sacks

The rookie George Karlaftis has already dazzled this off-season and I expect him to carry his pre-season ability into the regular season. In fact, I love Karlaftis’s chances at cracking 10+ sacks next to Chris Jones – which should often come in the spotlight.

Justin Reid makes the Pro Bowl

The Chiefs don’t have the Honey Badger, but they have a motivated, talented Justin Reid. The Chiefs backup kicker is out of Alcatraz, also known as the Houston Texans, and sitting behind a potent pass rush that will enjoy witnessing opposing QBs desperate to keep pace with Patty Mahomes.

The Chiefs let their safety, Justin Reid, kick an extra point ?

(via @NFL)pic.twitter.com/sqH4kegWRx
— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) August 13, 2022

Skyy Moore records 1,000+ receiving yards

I’m not convinced that Skyy Moore will win OROY, but he can certainly oust 1,000+ receiving yards in his first season. Per Chiefs Wire, JuJu Smith-Schuster believes that the sky is the limit for Moore.

Patrick Mahomes throws 5,000+ passing yards

I actually feel confident in the LA Chargers winning the AFC West in 2022. Still, I foresee Mahomes unleashing 5,000+ passing yards (for the second time in his career). He may not have Hill, but he still has Travis Kelce, Schuster, MVS, Mecole Hardman, and Moore. Not to mention that Mahomes has a versatile RB group at his disposal.

Travis Kelce is a first-team All-Pro

The Chiefs illustrious TE Travis Kelce didn’t garner first-team All-Pro honors last season, but I like his odds of returning to snag first-team AP (after being first-team AP in 2020) in 2022. In the Tyreek Hill-less offense, he should demand a bit more targets and attention moving forward.

Josh Gordon catches a touchdown

The former Cleveland Browns legend Josh Gordon has been up and down this summer, but his size should warrant him a role in the Chiefs offense at some point in 2022. He may momentarily be on the Chiefs practice squad, but I expect him to garner some playing time, catch a TD, and bring back memories of his previous unearthly production.

Chad Henne wins a game

It doesn’t sound sexy to imagine Mahomes MIA, but he did miss two games in 2019 and a contest in 2020. In the brutal AFC West and 17-game season, he may miss a match-up in 2022. With that said, I believe that Chade Henne (who has impressed in big moments) steps up to the plate & wins a show-down.

Mecole Hardman has a lot of juice, yet he doesn’t have the most superb experience as a KR. I believe the return-man that flashed a ton of greatness last season became more comfortable this off-season and he’s bound to put it all together in the upcoming season.

Orlando Brown Jr is an All-Pro

Orlando Brown Jr. has been named a Pro Bowler in each of the past few seasons. Yet, I believe he will shine against his best competition (such as Khalil Mack) in the upcoming season, which will really shine the lamp on his abilities.

Who will win OROY next season?

By: Jake Rajala

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Skyy Moore won the (Willy Wonka or The Polar Express) golden ticket when he was drafted by Big Red and the Kansas City Chiefs. Moore turned on his own jets in the draft process ”“ as he ran a 4.41 40-yard dash in the NFL combine. He doesn’t only have the explosive ability, but he is also a crisp route runner. B/R NFL Scouting Department interestingly compared him to the Seahawks legend, Golden Tate. With that enunciated, I’m going to untwine three reasons why the polarizing Skyy Moore could win OROY next season.

Skyy Moore is so damn good.

He will beautifully crush his ADP ?pic.twitter.com/DPAfS1pXqo
— Derek Brown (@DBro_FFB) July 29, 2022

Intelligence

It would be an understatement to say Moore has been sharp this off-season up to this point. Per Chiefs Wire, Mahomes told reporters after Friday’s practice, “Yeah, I think he’s getting more and more trust within the coaching staff and within me — and that just comes with reps”. If Moore can consistently be in-sync w/ his electric ability, the sky is truly the limit for him.

PrimeTime

The Chiefs will be playing in a lot of prime-time matchups in 2022. If Mahomes can connect with Moore on a few game-clinching touchdowns, it would be hard to deny the value and glory of the Chiefs rookie WR. Ja’Marr Chase wasn’t an overly consistent threat in 2021, but he did have top-end performances in matchups against the mighty Packers (10, 159 yds, 1) and against the Chiefs (12, 266, 3) last season.

Other rookie skill-players

Moore isn’t only in a superb situation, but other rookie WRs and RBs aren’t surrounded by offenses that might resemble the same group talent as The Avengers. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com listed Moore as the fifth best OROY candidate entering 2022. The other RB/WR profiles that Zierlein put on his list were Treylon Burks (Titans), Garrett Wilson (Jets), Drake London (Falcons), Christian Watson (Packers), Chris Olave (Saints), RB Kenneth Walker (Seahawks), RB Breece Hall (Jets), and Jahan Datson (Commanders). Besides Olave in the Saints offense and Watson with A-Rod, it’s clear that rookie skill players not named Skyy Moore don’t have a sexy situation moving forward.

What is the biggest question for the Kansas City Chiefs?

By: Jake Rajala

The Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs are confident that they can notch another Super Bowl victory and not decay in a similar way that the Russell Wilson-led Seahawks did after their lone SB win. With that stated, I’m going to simply pose the five biggest questions facing the reigning AFC West champions at this moment.

Mahomes and his new WR Skyy Moore already putting in work ?

(via @PatrickMahomes) pic.twitter.com/AHqjsdvWQv
— B/R Gridiron (@brgridiron) July 2, 2022

What is the ceiling for Skyy Moore?

Mina Kimes and the rest of the NFL world feel confident in Travis Kelce’s ability to demolish opposing defenses. It is also anticipated that JuJu Smith-Schuster ousts 1,000+ receiving yards. Although, the question is: how productive will the rookie Skyy Moore be in his first season? I believe Moore is the real x-factory in the Chiefs offense and they will need him to perform at a high level to finish ahead of the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals in my opinion.

Will Justin Reid play at a high level?

The Chiefs made a questionable decision to allow the Honey Badger to exit the building. They brought in Justin Reid, who is five years younger than Mathieu. Reid may be noticeable younger than Mathieu, but he still needs to be a strong replacement for the former Chiefs All-Pro safety in the near future. Reid had a 50.8 grade by PFF last season, per PFF. The former Stanford ball-hawk will need to return to the player that he was as a rookie (75.2 grade by PFF) and sophomore (76.7 grade) in 2022.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire jukes Justin Reid and ends up with a 27-yard TD.

CEH has over 100 yards already.pic.twitter.com/9ITGJEUNw0
— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) September 11, 2020

Will Patrick Mahomes improve his turnover rate?

Patrick Mahomes is undoubtedly a gifted quarterback. Nonetheless, he is still human and he needs to improve his turnover habits. He threw a career-high 13 interceptions last season and he nearly had countless more interceptions. He needs to really be on his toes in the much improved AFC West division, as any AFC West team could upset KC if Mahomes makes 1-2 big mistakes against them.

Will Chris Jones and Frank Clark stay healthy?

The Chiefs had two Pro Bowlers (Chris Jones and Frank Clark) on their defensive line last season. Unfortunately, Jones (career-high three missed games) and Clark (career-high three missed games) missed a chunk of playing time. It will be extremely important that Jones and Clark can stay on the field and help their Badger-less defense moving forward.

https://twitter.com/ChiefsNetwork1/status/1543658337077796868?s=20&t=cEhOaaoJ_Du4jl6-ScViEg

Will Harrison Butker be Mr. Reliable?

The Chiefs will have plenty of fireworks on offense and they should also expect a modest performance by their defense. Yet, they will also rely on their kicker Harrison Butker to be a clutch performer. Butker has had an 88% FG% in each season of his career. They will need him to continue to be a Pro Bowl-caliber kicker and not miss a long field goal in pivotal moments.

Latest Chiefs WR outlook

By: Jake Rajala

The Kansas City Chiefs will no longer feature the fireworks that Tyreek Hill brought to the wide receiver position (three-time All-Pro), but they will carry a few new, potent faces: JuJu Smith-Schuster, MVS, and Skyy Moore. Patrick Mahomes may have leaned on Hill to catch third and long passes in pivotal situations, but he certainly has many unique threats to replace Hill (and potentially improve Mahomes’s production) moving forward.

Of course, the TE Travis Kelce will still be a major factor for a long time in KC.

Ben Roethlisberger and JuJu Smith-Schuster have connected on 97-yard touchdown passes in back-to-back seasons (Detroit in 2017, Denver in 2018) – both tied for the longest pass play in #SteelersHistory. pic.twitter.com/4Q18z859mi
— Pittsburgh Steelers (@steelers) November 26, 2018

Smith-Schuster may have been a ghost over the past couple of seasons, but it didn’t help that he was in a crowded WR with a washed-up Ben Roethlisberger. It also should be noted that his health has really derailed him: four missed games in 2019 and 11 missed games last season.

The 25-year-old WR is absolutely capable of high-end success with a QB like Patty Mahomes. In fact, his most productive season is similar to Hill’s most electric season, as shown below.

Smith-Schuster’s best season (2018): 1,426 yds and 7 touchdowns

Tyreek Hill’s best season (2018): 1,479 yds and 12 touchdowns

Tyreek Hill put on a show for the @Chiefs in Week 1, 2018.

Plus other full games… for FREE on YouTube!
Watch here: https://t.co/ySooI0Sd2e pic.twitter.com/CYgILL1L5e
— NFL (@NFL) May 25, 2020

Smith-Schuster should be a Pro Bowl-caliber in a Chiefs uniform, but the football world could be surprised by the rookie Skyy Moore. James Jones was an enormous fan of Moore prior to him being drafted by KC (as shown below).

James Jones is a big fan of WR Skyy Moore

? 95 rec, 1292 yds, 10 tds
? 26 missed tackles forced (T1st)
? 91.8 PFF grade (1st)
? 4.41 40
? 7.49 RAS
? 3.4% drop rate

“The young fella is special” –@89JonesNTAF
pic.twitter.com/UujwhZC1Kv
— Hogg (@HoggNFL) April 26, 2022

The second-round pick was MIA in rookie mini-camp due to a minor hamstring injury. Although he returned to action (on a limited basis) in OTAs. It’s also positive that Moore has impressed Big Red in OTAs as of late. Per Chiefs Wire, Reid stated, “He’s doing a good job of understanding what we’re trying to get done.” Reid elaborated that he needs to catch up a bit, but it’s clear that the gifted athlete is meshing well with the Chiefs offensive system.

I expect MVS to be an occasional threat deep down the field, as he was often very explosive for A-Rod in the past. He averaged 20.9 YPC in 2020 and he has a career YPC of 17.5. The Chiefs will have everybody’s old crush in Mecole Hardman and the unique WR Josh Gordon. Hardman quietly had 693 yards last season and he should compete with MVS for the third-most production at WR. Finally, the former Browns legend at WR will likely be busting his tail to keep a roster spot and he may have a couple of touchdown catches that make NFL fans reminisce about his days of being an elite WR.

Who is the most overrated player on the Chiefs?

By: Jake Rajala

The Kansas City Chiefs are a complex Tyreek Hill-less team in 2022. With that said, I’m going to peg three KC players that could turn heads in 2022 and 3 profiles that are honestly overrated. Let’s begin.

Per Pro Football Talk, Chiefs new Safety, Justin Reid, has already become the leader of the defense, just 10 weeks into his tenure with the team. #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/jaZ3vslBfr
— Random Chiefs Fan (@randomchiefsguy) May 29, 2022

Underrated: Justin Reid

I’m sure that countless Chiefs fans would prefer the Honey Badger over Justin Reid, but I believe that the safety out of Stanford can be a consistent play-maker in KC next season. Chiefs Wire pointed out how Reid had a beautiful interception at OTAs yesterday. It’s clear that the gifted athlete at S is feeling more comfortable out of Houston and I believe that he should excel against offenses desperately seeking to keep pace with Patrick Mahomes.

Overrated: Frank Clark

The Chiefs have asked Frank Clark to be the most effective pass rusher since Justin Houston, but he’s only ousted 10.5 sacks in the past two seasons combined. I will admit that he has shown up in some playoff battles. Although, he slightly lived below expectations in 2020, and then he even had less production in the 2021 regular season. Despite his miraculous two Pro Bowl honors in 2020 and 2021, he hasn’t lived up to his contract (which he restructured this off-season). He will still need to be a lot more effective in the firework AFC conference with his new deal moving forward.

Joe Cullen says he expects #Chiefs' Chris Jones and Frank Clark to have career years under his tutelage.
— Charles Goldman (@goldmctNFL) June 2, 2022

Underrated: Skyy Moore

The Chiefs may have spent a lot of cash on MVS, but he doesn’t carry the same potential as the rookie Skyy Moore. I expect Andy Reid to have a perfect vision for the WR that has the similar ability as Tyreek Hill and he should honestly be the x-factor in the offense. Patrick Mahomes will have countless screens and quick passes lined up for the WR that impressed scouts this summer and was a draft steal in my opinion.

Listen to how former NFL WR James Jones talks about Skyy Moore??? pic.twitter.com/pUObWgjd25
— Braiden Turner (@bturner23) May 1, 2022

Overrated: Clyde Edwards-Helaire

It seems all too true that the healthy, first-round pick in CEH needs to have his best season in 2022. The former LSU RB hasn’t been a receiving machine, efficient in a superb manner, or friendly in big moments (cough, cough, against Baltimore). I’m not quite sure that he will prove his worth in an offense that brought in R-Jo and still have impressive receiving depth. Despite Mahomes wanting the Chiefs to draft him, I don’t believe he will come close to the magic that Jamaal Charles brought to KC.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire tomorrow morning pic.twitter.com/yccYCkSY9b
— Footballism (@FootbaIIism) September 20, 2021

Underrated: George Karlaftis

George Karlaftis may be a late first-round rookie, but he can prove to be a stud in his first NFL season. The 6’4, 270 DE has already brought excitement to DC Steve Spagnuolo with his power. Kezirian from ESPN believes that the Chiefs rookie can even win DROY via his motor and the pass-rushing opportunities in KC.

Overrated: Andrew Wylie

The Chiefs projected starter at RT Andrew Wylie may be scrappy and reliable, but he hasn’t been very heartwarming. Kristian Gumminger from Arrowhead Pride pointed out how PFF gave Wylie a 65.2 grade in pass block leading up to January 2nd. Wylie may have re-signed to the Chiefs this summer and he can likely start, but he absolutely can’t be a liability on the edge against the juggernaut AFC West pass rushers.

What is the most exciting position in Chiefs OTAs?

By: Jake Rajala

The Kansas City Chiefs can’t take the foot off the pedal without Tyreek Hill and Tyrann Mathieu. The Show Must Go On. The Chiefs will need to work with the Honey Badger and Hill replacements while improving other vital positions. With that said, I’m going to untwine three positions to watch in Chiefs OTAs.

We're back, baby ? pic.twitter.com/LDCWGdfXEU
— Kansas City Chiefs (@Chiefs) May 25, 2022

LDE

The Chiefs 2022 first-round pick George Karlaftis will be asked to replace Melvin Ingram and excel in his rookie season. Karlaftis was selected as the DPOY by USA Today and the Chiefs may have discovered a diamond in the rough in him. He reminds me a lot of Everson Griffen with his power and impressive motor. He is a darkhorse DROY candidate, as the powerful human will have lots of opportunities to sack opposing QBs.

SS

The loss of the Honey Badger is enormous and it won’t be easy for their Honey-less pass defense to heal. Mathieu was an All-Pro in 2019 and 2020, so it will be a tall task for Justin Reid to be near the same caliber of safety as the former Chiefs force. PFF recently ranked Reid as one of the worst safeties in the league, so the former Texans first-round pick needs to have a strong 2022 off-season to prove his doubters wrong.

Justin Reid: “This is undoubtedly the most fun defense I’ve played in.” #Chiefs
— Harold R.

WR

The Chiefs WR position has been very entertaining this off-season, to say the least. Tyreek Hill is out of Kansas City and there are a few new faces in the Chiefs WR room. JuJu Smith-Schuster will need to develop strong chemistry with Patrick Mahomes early on, but it will be fascinating to see how the second-round rookie Skyy Moore and MVS become utilized in the Chiefs offense.

Latest Falcons mock draft

By: Jake Rajala

The Atlanta Falcons are tough to crack at the end of March. It’s not clear if the Falcons will draft a quarterback to replace Matt Ryan, pick a wide receiver to replace Calvin Ridley in 2022, or select a defender to help their aching defense. With that said, the clock is ticking and the Falcons need to decide which direction they will go in the 2022 NFL Draft. Well, I really believe they are most likely to make these few early draft selections.

Matt Ryan is READY TO BALL @RapSheet#PMSLive pic.twitter.com/EbnadobwZO
— Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) March 28, 2022

Round 1: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State

I love the fit between the pass rusher Jermaine Johnson and the Falcons. Johnson can be a sizable upgrade from Dante Fowler Jr, a safe pick, and he can help the Falcons DL match their secondary with Casey Hayward. Johnson was flat out the best player at the Senior Bowl and that should solidify him as a Top-10 pick with the Falcons. He reminds me a lot of Dwight Freeney and Junior Galette.

Round 1: Skyy Moore, WR, Western Michigan (trade up)

The Falcons could pick a superb defender in the first round and still pick up a WR in the very talented WR draft class. Skyy Moore and Cordarrelle Patterson would be a fantastic WR duo and the Falcons offense could really hurt opposing defenses in a game of “death by a thousand cuts”. The speedy Moore can be a serious threat in space. Pitts, Moore, and Patterson can be attractive for a potential supreme 2023 rookie QB.

Round 3: Kenneth Walker, RB, Michigan State

The Falcons could use more overall talent and an impact player from the third round. It would be exciting and wise for the Falcons to continue to build around the QB spot and snag a talented RB by the name of Kenneth Walker. The MSU RB would help the Falcons rushing attack that was ranked 31st in 2021.

Latest Dolphins mock draft

The Miami Dolphins have new swag and creativity in Mike McDaniels in 2022. Nonetheless, McDaniel has really high expectations, as he’s tasked with improving Tua Tagovailoa and a team that won seven 7 in their last 8 games to finish with a 9-8 record in 2021.

Happy birthday, @Tua! ? pic.twitter.com/kZFy7ZXZM6
— Miami Dolphins (@MiamiDolphins) March 2, 2022

McDaniel will have the ammunition (most cap space in NFL) to build the team. It will be exciting and intense to see what the Dolphins decide to do in free agency. Still, the pivotal 2022 NFL draft will be vital for the Dolphins in their new direction. The draft is where teams create their future and potentially hope to find profiles that can help them win ball games immdetately.

So, who could the Dolphins pick in the 2022 NFL Draft? Well, it’s time for a Dolphins three-round mock draft in early March.

29th overall: Skyy Moore – WR – Western Michigan

McDaniel knows he won’t find the “next Deebo Samuel” by looking for Deebo Samuel 2.0. With that said, the utterly explosive Skyy Moore can still be his own beast and he’s rightfully climbing up draft boards. Daniel Jeremiah doesn’t believe he will be availabe beyond round two and some teams could target him early in round two.

Moore officially clocked a 4.41 40 time and he can absolutely fly. McDaniel will be dreaming of the potential of Moore due to his explosion and consitency. Moore can replace Will Fuller with ease and be a fine complement to Waddle for eyars to come.

50th overall: Chad Muma – LB – Wyoming

The versatile Chad Muma had a modest combine, but his instincts and motor can’t be calulcated by the combine and the sleepless nights that come with it. He had positive production and impressive intelligence, which are somehow undervalued traits at the LB position. Muma recorded three interceptions, 85 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two defensive touchdowns in 2021. I’d also like to see the Dolphins and McDaniel go offense in round one and defense in round two. He’s been favored as a late round two pick or an early third round pick, as well.

98th overall: Breece Hall – RB – Iowa State

The secret is out: the Dolphins will look to add a RB outside of round one in the 2022 NFL Draft. Breece Hall has been linked to the Dolphins by “With The First Pick”, as well. The Iowa State RB didn’t only just clock a 4.4 40 yard dash, but he has 3,000+ rushing yards and 41 rushing touchdowns in the past two seasons combined. He would be a better pure runner than the quality pass-catching RB Duke Johnson to say the least.

Hall and Moore would be two amazing additions to the Dolphins offense and McDaniel would be quick to grab an espresso and scheme up plays for his new-look offense. The Dolphins should feel a lot more comfortable playing the Bills number one ranked defense and Belichick’s diverse scheme twice a season after the 2022 NFL draft has eclipsed.
