By: Jake Rajala

The Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has won a Super Bowl and unleashed nine winning seasons in his 10-year career. Although, he has never received a single MVP vote in his career. With that said, I’m going to untwine three reasons why the former Seahawks QB that escaped to Denver could win his first MVP next season.

Dropping dimes. ?@DangeRussWilson x @Tpstreets pic.twitter.com/P1rK5jsMG2
— Denver Broncos (@Broncos) June 6, 2022

Team success

The most recent MVP winner was Aaron Rodgers, as he led his team to grab the first seed in the NFC last season (and the season prior). I believe that a dominant Russell Wilson could enjoy an unusual amount of victories with the Broncos and SI Sportsbook agrees. SI Sportsbook recently pegged the Broncos with the third-best odds to reach the big dance (behind Buffalo and Kansas City). I also believe that Wilson could be the wisest QB amid the signal-callers with potential juggernaut rosters next season, which leads me to my second case in Wilson winning MVP in 2022.

Turnovers

Wilson may not be Drew Brees, but he is a very capable rushing QB with special clutch ability, and he can also unveil a low number of turnovers in a season. For example, he only ousted six interceptions in 2021. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes sadly threw 13 interceptions (with Tyreek Hill) and Josh Allen threw 15 interceptions in 2021. The non-Broncos QBs could unveil unearthly numbers, but Wilson may be more respectable with significantly fewer interceptions.

A-Rod threw four interceptions in 2021 (and five interceptions in 2020). Tom Brady tossed 12 interceptions a season ago.

I still can’t believe Patrick Mahomes has more interceptions than Daniel Jones this season.
— Troy King (@TKingMode) November 2, 2021

Demise of Greek God-like QBs

The MVP race last season was tight between Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Well, I believe it may be time for Socrates and Aristotle to take one step back next season. Rodgers won’t have a Top-3 WR in Davante Adams and TB12 may not have Gronk. I believe the rise of the entire AFC West QB group, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Matthew Stafford will steal the show moving forward. Plus, I don’t expect TB12 to not be swept by the Saints (and drop a couple of other match-ups at least) next season.

Aaron Rodgers could still win MVP next season

By: Jake Rajala

It may seem like the Packers didn’t have an Albert Einstein-like mind helping their search for WR talent this off-season, but the Pack still recently added numerous talented wideouts in Christian Watson and Sammy Watkins. Most importantly, they can feel delighted that they have arguably the most gifted passing QB of all time in Aaron Rodgers on their roster.

A-Rod has been from another planet in 2020 and 2021 (both MVP-winning seasons). Although, many fans believe that the Davante Adams-less offense will noticeably hurt A-Rod’s chances of winning MVP for the third straight season. Well, I’m still going to untwine three reasons why burning man Rodgers could return to the throne and win MVP with his current weapons next season.

.@AaronRodgers12 for the WIN on hole No. 12! ?#TheMatch pic.twitter.com/1bowOGdx0V
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) June 2, 2022

Healthy tackles

The mammoth-like LT David Bakhtiari played in a mere one game last season. The Packers may have lost a star in Tae, but they are receiving a healthy and amazing face in Bakhtiari. The Packers LT is arguably an Top-3 LT in the NFL and he will be happy to protect his buddy that likes to ride in the back seat of his truck.

It should also be noted that RT Elgton Jenkins missed nine game last season. The injury-riddled Packers OL was beaten badly by the Nick Bosa-led 49ers pass rush in the playoffs. A-Rod will be very confident that he can stay clean and utilize his wideouts to the best of their ability.

Robert Tonyan

A-Rod threw 11 touchdowns to Robert Tonyan in 2020. Yes, you read that correctly. Well, Tonyan (9 missed games last season) hauled in a mere two touchdowns from his QB in 2021. The Packers QB will be happy to have his gifted and healthy TE catching passes from him moving forward.

I think there's a pretty chance Robert Tonyan leads the Packers in TD receptions this year and is a preferred stacking target to go with Aaron Rodgers in Best Ball drafts.
— Wyatt ? (@WyattB_FF) June 3, 2022

Christian Watson

It appears that cheeseheads across the globe should feel ecstatic that their second-round pick is turning heads in OTAs. If the 6’5 WR can be in-sync with Rodgers on the outside early on, while the deep-threat Sammy Watkins and red-zone threat Tonyan excel in their roles, the well-protected Rodgers could find himself crowned MVP for the third straight season.
