Did you miss your waivers? Are one or multiple players on your team questionable or doubtful to play? You’ve come to the right place for last-minute adds that can help boost your chances of winning your fantasy week.

QB: Brock Purdy SF 12% Rostered (Projected: 16.81 FP)

Brock Purdy has been Mr. Consistent and Mr. Reliable for the 49ers ever since Jimmy G went down for the year. In three games, Purdy has averaged about 17+ FP and has thrown two TDs each game. The 49ers have a lot of talent that Purdy relies on and those could easily up his fantasy points. They have a date with Washington on Week 16 and they will fight especially with a chance for the #1 seed still up in the air.

RB: Zack Moss IND 9% Rostered (Projected: 9.57 FP)

Zack Moss looks like the new RB1 for the Colts especially after the injury to Jonathan Taylor. In the loss to the Vikings, Moss ran 24 times for 81 yards. He faces the Chargers who don’t do well stopping the run. He could be a solid late signing especially with the playoffs ongoing.

WR: Marquise Goodwin SEA 11% Rostered (Projected: 10.05 FP)

The injury to Tyler Lockett will create more opportunities for Marquise Goodwin as WR2. With the Seahawks coming in to Kansas City, look for a high-scoring affair that would benefit Goodwin.

TE: Chigoziem Okonkwo TEN 33% Rostered (Projected: 6.65 FP)

Chigoziem has slowly been getting the call as the top pass-catcher for the Titans. For the third straight week in a row, he has scored 10+ FP. In Week 15, he caught four passes for 54 yards and rushed for six yards. With a matchup against the Texans next week, look for Okonkwo to play well in a must-win game.

Here we are again with another edition of our Fantasy Football waiver wire pickups of the week. Last week one of our featured pickups was Jerick McKinnon and boy did he deliver. McKinnon posted over 26 points in Standard leagues and now has back to back 20+ fantasy points in his last 2 games. If you are still searching the waiver wire congratulations as you are now deep in the fantasy football playoffs. Let’s take a look at our waiver wire pickups for week 16.

Quarterbacks

Gardner Minshew – QB Philadelphia Eagles

Out of the gate we start with some unfortunate news on Jalen Hurts. It looks like he suffered a shoulder strain that will keep him out for a couple weeks. If you’re a Hurts owner this is not the news you wanted heading into your crucial playoff game this weekend. In steps Gardner Minshew whom doesn’t have the same upside as Hurts but can put up solid numbers with all the talent around him.

Running Backs

Zack Moss – RB Indianapolis Colts

More unfortunate injuries this time at the running back position. Jonathan Taylor will officially be shut down for the season due to his high ankle sprain. The next man up appears to be Zack Moss as he totaled 24 carries in the loss to the Vikings for 81 yards. This development is a bit surprising as many expected Deon Jackson to step into that lead role. Jackson is still worth stashing but Moss is our top waiver priority for week 16.

Wide Receivers

Zay Jones – WR Jacksonville Jaguars

Zay Jones lit up the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday hauling in 3 touchdowns and 109 yards. The last 4 weeks he has seen a whopping 41 targets from his emerging QB Trevor Lawrence. If somehow Jones is available in your league you should prioritize picking him up. The Jaguars offense is getting hot at the right time and Jones should continue to soar.

Tight Ends

Dallas Goedert – TE Philadelphia Eagles

Goedert is getting set to come back off of IR and could be on track to play this weekend. More than likely he was dropped a while back when he suffered his shoulder injury. Goedert has shown he can put up solid fantasy numbers and if you need to stream a TE for your pivotal matchup this is the guy.

What is the Bills running back outlook in 2022?

By: Jake Rajala

The Buffalo Bills may have a Thanos-like quarterback in Josh Allen (37 passing touchdowns in 2020 and 36 passing TDs in 2021), but they still possess a lethal rushing attack with their dual-threat QB and the electric RB Devin Singletary – as Buffalo ranked sixth in rushing yards last season. The RB that learned under Frank Gore ousted 4.6 YPC, 870 rushing yards, and 7 rushing touchdowns in 2021. Singletary also garnered a 64.8 grade by PFF for his 2021 performance. He will aspire to have his best season in 2022 — which is also his contract season.

My playoffs hype video for Devin Singletary’s Instagram ??? pic.twitter.com/PZ0GH1A2Xg
— Mike Hunter (@thunderprod_) January 14, 2022

Singletary will be accompanied by James Cook, also known as the brother Dalvin Cook. Cook ousted 1,012 total yards and 11 total touchdowns in 2020. Bills Wire nicely noted how Cook was the Bills highest drafted RB since 2010. CBS Sports has dubbed Cook as a Top-5 rookie RB and PFF listed Cook as a fantasy sleeper in 2022. He’s also a major dynasty sleeper given Singletary’s contract situation.

After the top two Bills RBs, the Bills also have Zack Moss and Duke Johnson. Moss registered 576 total yds and 5 combined touchdowns in 2020, then unveiled 542 all-purpose yds and 5 combined TDs in 2021. He wasn’t the most efficient ball-carrier for the Bills last season – as he averaged 3.6 YPC and had a 67.3 grade by PFF. Hence, the Bills opted to swing big for Cook in the 2022 draft. The Bills will also anticipate production from Duke Johnson. He’s an excellent pure RB4 (as he ousted 330 rushing yds and averaged 4.6 YPC last season), but he could be a somewhat popular receiving back for Allen. He has five seasons of 40+ receptions in his career. Johnson had a 72.1 grade by PFF last season.

Bills Zack Moss will shine in 2021

By: Jason Ferris

At 15-3, and one win away from the Super Bowl, one glaring offensive weakness was exposed in Buffalo Bills’ second-ranked offense in the league in their 38-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2020 AFC Championship.

Statistically, the Bills’ offense was not terrible in that game. Josh Allen played well, throwing for 287 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, the Bills ran for a combined 126 yards.

On the surface, it all looks like a balanced offensive output but in reality, the Bills’ ineffective running game was exposed. Of the 126 yards rushing, 88 of those came from quarterback Allen himself. He led his team in both attempts and yards, generally not a recipe for success in any game, let alone a conference championship game.

Yearlong starter Devin Singletary managed just 17 yards on six carries. The lack of a legitimate running game had finally caught up with the Bills.

In Singletary’s final year of college at Florida Atlantic, the bruising back rushed 235 times for 1,416 yards and 17 touchdowns. That is the type of production the Bills were looking for when they drafted him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. But in the two years since being drafted, Singletary has regressed.

As a rookie, he carried the ball 151 times for a healthy 5.1 yards/attempt and 20 broken tackles. It was a promising start. But by the time he had finished his sophomore season with the Bills, Singletary carried the ball 156 times for a very mediocre 4.4 yards/carry. He was 25th in the league in yards with 687 and 31st in broken tackles with nine.

The biggest elephant in the Bills’ running back’s room is that Singletary has scored only six total touchdowns, which translates into a scoring rate of 1.6% per touch, while fumbling five times over his first two years. By contrast, David Montgomery of the Chicago Bears, who was drafted one spot before Singletary, has scored 17 touchdowns on 568 touches over the same period. That is a scoring rate of 3.0% per touch, even with the bigger workload. Singletary simply isn’t measuring up to what he was drafted as.

It is hard to rest the entire blame for the Bills’ lack of running attack solely on the shoulders of Singletary. The Bills obviously believe in Allen as an elite NFL quarterback and they built their offensive line with preserving his health in mind.

As the third-ranked passing offense, the Bills offensive line was blitzed a league leading 254 times. Yet Allen was given the luxury of protection with 2.6 seconds of clean pocket time (T-1st) and was only sacked 26 times (24th) and hit 47 times (20th). For an offensive line that was called upon the most to protect its quarterback in 2020, the Bills’ line certainly delivered. This allowed Allen to have a career year with 4,544 yards passing and 45 total touchdowns.

That same offensive line play, however, did not happen for the running game. The Bills struggled to 20th in the NFL with 1,168 yards rushing and Allen put up 421 of those himself.

So was Singletary’s lack of production in 2020 a reason for a running back to lose his job? Not necessarily, but it does point to a need to try at least try something else. The Bills 2021 draft class included Spencer Brown (OT), Tommy Doyle (OT), and Jack Anderson (G) to help beef up the run blocking but the Bills surprisingly did not draft a running back. In fact, the Bills passed up on highly-touted North Carolina running back Javonte Williams, instead choosing to pick edge rusher Gregory Rousseau with their first round pick. So who now emerges as the Bills’ lead back to start the season?

Zack Moss. #Bills pic.twitter.com/wGsT4ibiMM
— Bradley Gelber (@BradleyGelber) November 1, 2020

It has to be Zack Moss. As a rookie in 2020, Moss was limited to 37% of the snap count but made good use of those. Moss appeared in 13 games, had 126 total touches for 576 yards and, more importantly, produced 5 touchdowns. That is a scoring rate of 4.0% per touch, much more productive than Singletary’s 1.6%. Moss ran hard, breaking 16 tackles and also playing a role in the receiving game with 14 catches for 96 yards and a touchdown.

Moss has proven that he deserves at least a shot at being the starter. Heading into the 2021 season head coach Sean McDermott may be saying all the right things to the media about his total confidence in the running game, but he better be game-planning with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll on how to utilize Moss as their lead back in 2021
