Here is the latest 2 round NFL mock draft

The NFL Draft is less than a day away. Fans of all 32 franchises wait anxiously to see what player their team will draft.

Some teams will find a steal but some will reach for a player.

Draft picks can make or break a General Manager’s tenure, with the future of each franchise all dependant on the players they take

Here is Pro Football Mania’s non-trade mock draft.

Pick 1. Jacksonville Jaguars- Trevor Lawrence (Quarterback- Clemson)

This one is easy. It has been set in stone ever since the New York Jets decided to win some games towards the end of the 2020 season, that the Jaguars will take Lawrence.

New Jags head coach Urban Meyer has been to Lawrence’s pro day and the Clemson quarterback has already given money towards charities in Jacksonville. Despite concerns over his commitment, there is no doubt who Jacksonville will take with the number one pick.

Pick 2: New York Jets- Zach Wilson (Quarterback- BYU)

This is another pick that appears set in stone. Ever since his pro day, Wilson has seemed all but certain to be the number two pick.

Plenty will argue that quarterbacks such as Trey Lance and Justin Fields are better prospects but the consensus is that the Jets will take Wilson.

Pick 3: San Francisco 49ers- Mac Jones (Quarterback-Alabama)

This one appears to split opinion. San Francisco traded up for this pick and they have made it clear they want a new QB. Whether this is to sit behind Jimmy G or to replace the former Patriot, Mac Jones appears to be the player that will be taken by head coach Kyle Shanahan and General Manager John Lynch.

Shanahan went to Jones’ pro day but there are plenty of concerns over his ceiling and athleticism.

A mobile QB such as Fields or Lance would be a better fit for this Shanahan offense but all signs lean towards Jones.

Pick 4: Atlanta Falcons- Kyle Pitts (Tight End- Florida)

Atlanta could easily trade down for this pick but they also have the chance to take a generational tight end.

Pitts looks like the best prospect at the position in years and would be a great weapon for quarterback Matt Ryan.

The Falcons’ biggest need is on the defensive side of the ball but taking any defensive player with the fourth overall pick in this draft would be a massive reach. Pitts is too good to pass on.

Pick 5: Cincinnati Bengals- Penei Sewell (Offensive Lineman- Oregon)

Cincinnati is said to be choosing between Sewell and Ja’Marr Chase. As well as Chase and Joe Burrow played together at LSU, the offensive line is the biggest area of need if they want to protect Burrow.

Sewell took a year out in 2020 but there is enough tape on him to see how good a player he is.

The Bengals can find a wide receiver later in the draft. They won’t find an offensive lineman as good as Sewell later in the second or third round.

Pick 6: Miami Dolphins- Ja’Marr Chase (Wide Receiver- LSU)

The aforementioned Chase is seen as the best wide receiver prospect. Miami will take either Chase, Sewell or Pitts should any of these be available.

With the injury record of Miami’s top two receivers, Chase will be an excellent addition to this Dolphins offense to give Tua Tagovailoa the best help possible.

Pick 7: Detroit Lions- DeVonta Smith (Wide Receiver- Alabama)

After the departures of Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones, the Lions need receivers to help out new quarterback Jared Goff.

Last season’s Heismann Trophy winner is the next best option for Detroit and new head coach Dan Campbell.

Pick 8: Carolina Panthers- Rashawn Slater (Offensive Lineman- Northwestern)

Some are arguing that Slater is a better prospect than Sewell. Carolina needs an offensive lineman in the draft and would take either Sewell or Slater, with neither likely to both be gone by the time Carolina are on the clock.

Should Cincinnati take Sewell, then Slater is the next best option for Carolina.

Pick 9: Denver Broncos- Micah Parsons (Linebacker-Penn State)

After the trade for Teddy Bridgewater, quarterback selection is now out of the question.

The best defensive player in this draft is Parsons, someone who will help elevate this Broncos defense.

Pick 10: Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain (Cornerback- Alabama)

Dallas does not need to draft anyone on offense. Defense is where they struggled last season.

Surtain is one of the best defensive backs in the draft and Dallas would be silly not to pass on him. He would be a great partner in the secondary for Trevon Diggs. 

Pick 11: New York Giants- Kwity Paye (Defensive End- Michigan)

Despite recording the thirteenth most sacks in 2020, the Giants would love an elite pass rusher. Paye has all the potential of becoming that player in New York blue.

Defensive end Leonard Williams recorded 11.5 sacks, but their next best sack total came from defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence who had 4. With 1.5, Jabaal Sheard had the next best total for a Giants defensive end.

Paye would offer a great second option on the edge, which would complement the defensive line when opposition teams start double-teaming Williams

Pick 12: Philadelphia Eagles- Jaylen Waddle (Wide Receiver- Alabama)

Waddle be an excellent addition to an Eagles offense that has been crying out for a top wide receiver.

This will give Jalen Hurts a great weapon, something Carson Wentz lacked for most of his Eagles career.

Pick 13: Los Angeles Chargers-Alijah Vera-Tucker (Offensive Lineman- USC)

The Chargers were ranked as having the worst offensive line in 2020 by PFF, with rookie Justin Herbert the eleventh most sacked quarterback.

Vera Tucker is seen as one of the brightest offensive line prospects, one that could help prolong the career of Herbert.

Pick 14: Minnesota Vikings-Gregory Rousseau (Defensive End- Miami)

Rousseau, who had 15.5 sacks in 2019, is one of the more impressive defensive prospects. He would significantly help this Vikings defense.

Minnesota’s sack leader in 2020 was a player who left the franchise midseason. Yannick Ngakoue, who recorded 5 sacks, only played 6 games before being moved to the Baltimore Ravens.

Defensive end is a massive need for the Vikings, with Rousseau having all the potential to become one of the best edge rushers in the league.

Pick 15: New England Patriots- Trey Lance (Quarterback- North Dakota State)

Despite bringing back quarterback Cam Newton this offseason, it is unclear how long he will keep the starting job.

Talk is rising of Jimmy G returning to New England but there is also a great chance they will take a QB in the draft.

Trey Lance is, in my opinion, the third-best quarterback prospect. He has less film than some of the other quarterbacks in this draft but he also looks to be one of the more exciting players.

With mobility and a great arm, Lance would be perfect for the offensive scheme of head coach Bill Belichik and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Pick 16: Arizona Cardinals- Jaycee Horn (Cornerback-South Carolina)

The Cardinals secondary, along with the offensive line, is two areas with the biggest need for Arizona.

Patrick Peterson (3) recorded the most interceptions but moved to Minnesota this offseason. Budda Baker is a great safety but the Cardinals need help at the cornerback position.

Jaycee Horn is seen as one of the top cornerback prospects and will hope to repeat the success of his father in the NFL, who was a four-time Pro Bowler.

Pick 17: Las Vegas Raiders- Zaven Collins (Linebacker- Tulsa)

The Raiders need massive help in defense and Zaven Collins is an exciting prospect.

Collins is seen as someone who will make an impact straight away as a pro, due to his size and speed.

Pick 18: Miami Dolphins- Najee Harris (Running Back- Alabama)

Whilst offensive line is a bigger need and running backs Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed impressed at times in South Beach during the 2020 season, Harris is too good to pass on.

Harris played with Tua in college and the Dolphins quarterback has openly stated his desire to once again play with Najee. This would allow the pair to continue their relationship that we saw in Alabama.

Pick 19: Washington Football Team- Jeremiah Owusu- Koramoah (Linebacker- Notre Dame)

Washington has a fantastic defensive line but linebacker is an area of need.

Owusu-Koramoah has been praised for his leadership, with five forced fumbles as well as 142 tackles and 24.5 tackles for loss during his only two seasons in college.

Should he be a success, this will play a part in Washington turning into a franchise with one of the more complete defenses in the league.

Pick 20: Chicago Bears- Azeez Ojulari (Defensive End- Georgia)

Ojulari is one of the more impressive pass rushers I have seen coming out of the draft.

Linebacker Khalil Mack was the Bears’ sack leader in 2020 with 9 but their best defensive end in terms of sacks was Mario Edwards Jr, who had just four.

With 15 and five forced fumbles sacks across 2019 and 2020, Ojulari will be an upgrade for this Bears defense.

Pick 21: Indianapolis Colts- Greg Newsome (Cornerback-Northwestern)

Indianapolis’ leader in interceptions was cornerback Kenny More, who recorded 4 in 2020.

Seen as tall and agile, Newsome is seen as someone who can be a reliable defensive back in the league and a great shutdown corner, with 16 passes deflected across 2019 and 2020.

Pick 22: Tennessee Titans-Teven Jenkins (Offensive Lineman- Oklahoma State)

The Titans’ offensive line was ranked 15th in 2020, with their run-blocking praised and their pass-blocking noted as an area to improve on.

Getting someone such as Jenkins into the building in Tennessee, can help continue protecting running back Derrick Henry but also give quarterback Ryan Tannehill more protection.

Pick 23: New York Jets-Jaelan Phillips (Defensive End- Miami)

Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (7) led the Jets in sacks in 2020, with 3.5 the next best total. This came from defensive end Tarell Basham. The Jets need help in this area of the field.

How about someone who recorded 8.5 sacks in just ten games during their 2020 college season? Jaelan Phillips is this player and is exactly who the Jets need.

Pick 24: Pittsburgh Steelers- Justin Fields (Quarterback- Ohio State)

Fields is seen by many, including myself, as the second-best quarterback in the draft. However, concerns over his professionalism and Field’s epilepsy has seen his draft stock fall off a cliff. This is where the Steelers can pounce.

Big Ben is widely expected to only play one more year in the NFL. Dwayne Haskins has been brought in this offseason but his performances on the field for Washington cannot guarantee he is Roethlisberger’s successor.

Should Fields fall to pick 24, the Steelers may feel he is too good to pass on.

The Steelers are one of the great organisations, with the Rooney family seemingly one of the more respected ownerships in the NFL.

Fields and Tomlin have already worked together this offseason at Fields’ Pro Day and the chemistry seems to be there.

Along with Haskins, Pittsburgh can be a great organisation for Fields to fix his apparent off the field issues. This would allow Fields to continue Pittsburgh’s great consistency at making the postseason.

Pick 25: Jacksonville Jaguars-Elijah Moore (Wide Receiver- Mississippi)

This one is simple. Give Lawrence more weapons.

With 1,193 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns in 2020, Moore can be a great WR2 or slot receiver in Jacksonville.

Pick 26: Cleveland Browns- Levi Onwuzurike (Defensive Tackle- Washington)

With Myles Garrett and Jadaveon Clowney on the edge, the Browns are close to having a great defensive line.

Defensive tackle is an area of improvement, with Onwuzurike potentially a great fit for Cleveland. His pass rush is seen as a ”˜work in progress’ but with Garrett and Clowney alongside him, who better to learn from?

Pick 27: Baltimore Ravens-Dillon Radunz (Offensive Lineman- North Dakota State)

After trading offensive lineman Orlando Brown to the Chiefs, the Ravens need to find a replacement in the draft. The Ravens could easily trade up to get an offensive lineman but for the purposes of this non-trade mock draft, the Ravens will take Radunz at pick number 27.

Radunz is seen as someone who needs to work on his hand usage and strength but is also someone that can be a starter instantly.

Pick 28: New Orleans Saints- Caleb Farley (Cornerback- Virginia Tech)

Farley was seen as a top ten prospect before suffering an injury before his pro day. This will see Farley fall in the draft but the Saints need help in the cornerback position and Farley is a high-risk, high reward player.

The Saints’ interception leaders had just three all year. Farley has the chance to be a massive sleeper pick, with all the potential to become the most productive corner in this draft provided he stays healthy.

Pick 29: Green Bay Packers- Kadarious Toney (Wide Receiver- Florida)

The Packers have made the last two NFC Championship games but have lost both. There has been one thing missing, a true number two receiver to ease the burden off Davante Adams.

Green Bay were the most criticised team in last year’s draft after taking Aaron Rodgers’ replacement over a wide receiver.  It is hard to see them making the same mistake again.

Pick 30: Buffalo Bills-Travis Etienne (Running Back-Clemson)

The Bills probably have bigger needs, but Etienne will be someone they will love to take.

Devin Singletary only ran for 687 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Quarterback Josh Allen had as many rushing touchdowns (8) as all the other running backs combined, with last year’s draft pick Zach Moss struggling in the run game during his rookie year.

Pick 31: Baltimore Ravens- Trevon Moerig (Safety- TCU)

Daniel Jeremiah ranks Moerig as the 16th best prospect in the draft but the safety has the potential to fall due to a lack of need for the position in the first round from the other 31 teams.

Pick 32: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Asante Samuel Jr (Cornerback- Florida State)

There isn’t a massive need for improvement in this Tampa Bay roster. The Super Bowl 55 champions will be hoping to retain the Lombardi Trophy and have managed to keep most of their starters from 2020.

Their leader in interceptions was Carlton Davis, with 4. Jamel Dean had the next highest total for a corner with just 1. The first quarter against the Chiefs and Tyreek Hill in week 12 of the regular season showed the holes in the Buccaneers secondary.

Asante Samuel will provide help to Tampa Bay’s one true Achilles heel. Should Samuel have a successful rookie year, there is no stopping the Buccaneers from making it back to the Super Bowl in Los Angeles in February 2022.
