Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Pro Football Mania (“PFM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use PFM, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information You Choose to Provide
PFM only asks for personal information when you choose to provide it. If you use the Contact page, we may receive your name, email address, and the message you send so we can review and respond to your question, correction, partnership request, advertising inquiry, or other feedback.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, PFM’s hosting, security, and performance services may process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, referring pages, and request timestamps.
PFM also uses Jetpack Stats, provided by Automattic, for site analytics. When analytics is allowed, Jetpack Stats may process information such as an IP address, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp, browser language, country code, and WordPress.com account information when a visitor is logged in to WordPress.com. PFM uses Jetpack Stats to understand aggregate traffic and site performance. Jetpack does not expose identifying visitor details such as IP addresses or WordPress.com usernames to PFM through the Stats dashboard.
Automattic currently states that Jetpack Stats logs containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames, when available, are retained for 28 days for the purpose of providing the Stats feature.
Cookies, Analytics, and Privacy Choices
PFM uses cookies and similar browser technologies for necessary site functions and privacy preferences.
Necessary storage supports core site functions, security, administrator login features, and remembering your privacy decision. Necessary storage cannot be disabled through the PFM privacy controls because the site may not work correctly without it.
Analytics is optional. PFM’s native consent system keeps analytics tracking off until you allow it. If you choose Reject All, Jetpack Stats tracking remains blocked. If you choose Accept All or enable Analytics under Customize, analytics may run until you change your choice or the preference expires.
PFM stores your privacy decision in a first-party cookie named pfm_consent_v1. The default lifetime of that preference is 180 days so you are not asked to make the same choice on every visit.
When the privacy notice appears, you can choose Accept All, Reject All, or Customize. You can change your decision later by selecting Privacy Choices in the site footer.
PFM also configures Jetpack Stats to honor browser Do Not Track requests.
Advertising
PFM does not currently run display advertising. The current PFM consent system does not enable advertising storage, ad personalization, or advertising user-data signals.
If PFM adds advertising in the future, we will review and update this Privacy Policy and the site’s consent setup before advertising is enabled. If an advertising platform or applicable region requires a certified consent-management provider, PFM will use the required consent system rather than treating the current PFM privacy banner as an advertising CMP.
Global Privacy Control
PFM’s native consent layer recognizes Global Privacy Control signals for advertising and personalization. Advertising and personalization remain denied in the current no-advertising setup.
How We Use Information
PFM may use information processed through the site to:
- operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website;
- respond to messages sent through the Contact page;
- understand aggregate traffic and site performance;
- prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems;
- improve PFM articles, rankings, tools, and site usability; and
- comply with legal obligations when required.
Service Providers
PFM relies on third-party service providers for functions such as website hosting, security, performance, analytics, and message delivery. These providers may process information as needed to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy terms and legal obligations.
Jetpack Stats is provided by Automattic. Other service providers may change as PFM’s hosting or site operations change.
PFM does not currently sell personal information or use the site for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How Long We Keep Information
PFM keeps information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
The PFM privacy-preference cookie is stored for up to 180 days by default. Contact messages may be retained as long as needed to respond and maintain relevant business records. Service providers may use different retention periods for technical logs and other information they process on PFM’s behalf. Jetpack’s current Stats documentation states that logs containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames, when available, are retained for 28 days.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other choices available under applicable law.
You can reject optional analytics or change your PFM privacy choice at any time through Privacy Choices in the site footer.
To make a privacy request, use the PFM Contact page and clearly state that your message is a privacy request.
Security
PFM uses reasonable technical and administrative measures intended to protect the site and information processed through it. No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Links to Other Websites
PFM articles and tools may link to websites operated by other organizations. PFM does not control those sites or their privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third-party site you choose to visit.
Children’s Privacy
PFM is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site. If you believe a child has provided personal information to PFM, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
PFM may update this Privacy Policy when the site, the services we use, or applicable privacy requirements change. When we make an update, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
