Watson opened 2026 with the exact type of explosive game that has always made his ceiling attractive. He caught six passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns at Minnesota, averaging 24.5 yards per reception and breaking an 81-yard gain. The difference this time was that the explosive plays came with enough reception volume to create a complete fantasy line.

PFM ranks Watson WR10 for Week 2 at the Jets. The 147 yards and two scores will be difficult to repeat, but six catches are a meaningful signal for a receiver whose prior fantasy value often depended on splash plays. Week 2 is a tougher test, yet the opener showed that Green Bay is willing to feature him rather than use him only as a vertical specialist. That broader role gives Watson more ways to remain fantasy relevant when the long touchdown does not arrive.
