Offensive Rating Tiers

What stands out in the offensive ratings

Buffalo set the offensive pace

Buffalo sit at 90.5 in Offensive Rating. With QB Stability at 88.0, Josh Allen gives the offense a cleaner starting point than most teams have.

New England bring big-play volatility

Explosiveness at 88.7 gives New England real scoring punch, but Offensive Rating at 83.4 says the weekly floor is not as clean as the highlight plays.

Dallas lean toward offense

Dallas show one of the clearer side-of-ball gaps: Offensive Rating 86.0 against Defensive Rating 73.9. That explains why the overall team read cannot stop at the offense.

PFM Offensive Rating FAQ

What are PFM NFL Offense Ratings?

PFM NFL Offense Ratings rank every team by its offensive outlook, not just one box-score stat. They combine the offense grade with quarterback stability, explosiveness, roster support and coaching context.

How are NFL offenses ranked by PFM?

Teams are ordered by PFM Offensive Rating from highest to lowest. Supporting grades help explain why two offenses with similar ratings can be built very differently.

Are PFM Offense Ratings the same as NFL offensive stats?

No. Traditional offensive stats describe production already recorded. PFM Offense Ratings are a broader team outlook that also accounts for quarterback stability, explosiveness, roster support and coaching context.

Why does QB Stability matter for offense ratings?

The quarterback changes the floor and ceiling of an offense. QB Stability helps show whether the offense has a trustworthy starting point before considering the rest of the roster.

How do offensive coordinators connect to PFM Offense Ratings?

Offensive coordinator context helps explain the environment around the offense, but PFM Offense Ratings are not an offensive coordinator ranking. The team-side grade remains the main number.

How often are PFM Offense Ratings updated?

PFM ratings are reviewed when team data changes through the offseason, training camp and the regular season.
