INDEPENDENT PFM VIEW

Where PFM Sees the League Differently

PFM is not built to match the national average. These are the teams where our current order is furthest from the non-PFM consensus.

HOW IT WORKS

How the Consensus Ranking Is Built

Every outside source counts once. We add the rankings together and use the average to set the 1-32 order. A lower average means a higher consensus rank.

If two teams have the same average, the better middle ranking breaks the tie first. If they are still tied, we look at which team was ranked more consistently, then the best single ranking, then alphabetical order. The full average is used before anything is rounded.

PFM never affects the consensus. Every outside ranking stays in the calculation, including the highest and lowest.
