Adams' Week 1 line reflected how little the Rams accomplished offensively against San Francisco. He caught three passes for 26 yards on six targets while Los Angeles scored only seven points. The six targets show he was involved, but the 8.7 yards per catch and lack of a touchdown left very little fantasy value behind Puka Nacua.
PFM ranks Adams WR23 for Week 2 against the Giants. That matchup gives the Rams a chance to reset after an opener in which the entire passing game struggled. Adams does not need to reclaim his Green Bay target totals to beat WR23, but Los Angeles has to create more scoring opportunities and more valuable targets. Week 2 is a test of whether the opener was mostly an offense-wide failure or an early sign that Adams' role will sit clearly behind Nacua every week.
