PFM Fantasy Outlook

The biggest change around Gibbs is volume. Detroit traded David Montgomery, and Dan Campbell has said Gibbs is going to be the bell cow. That comes after a 2025 season with 243 carries for 1,223 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, plus 77 catches for 616 yards and five more scores.

PFM ranks Gibbs RB1 and No. 1 overall for 2026, and the expanded workload is the football reason that ranking holds up. The Lions still carry an 88.45 Offense Rating with 85.28 QB Stability, so the added touches are coming inside one of the strongest environments on the board. Gibbs already produced as an elite dual-threat back without owning the entire backfield. A larger share of Detroit's rushing and receiving work gives him a legitimate path to separating from the rest of the first-round backs.
