Sam LaPorta has been steady all season, but Week 4 was the first time the volume turned into a true difference-making tight end line. He caught eight passes for 84 yards and a touchdown at Carolina, bringing him to 22 receptions for 228 yards and two scores through four games. He has now caught at least three passes every week without relying on one long play to carry the production.

PFM has LaPorta TE4 for Week 5 at Arizona and TE5 for the rest of the season. That ranking fits a player whose floor is already established and whose ceiling is beginning to show again. Detroit has enough weapons to keep the target share from becoming elite every Sunday, but eight catches in Week 4 matters. If the red-zone work keeps following the reception volume, LaPorta can challenge the top tier without needing a major role change.
