McLaurin opened 2026 with only two catches for 14 yards on four targets at Philadelphia. The line was especially quiet for a receiver whose fantasy value has long depended on combining steady target volume with downfield production. Washington's late offensive push did not run through him, which makes the Week 2 target distribution worth watching.

PFM ranks McLaurin WR28 for Week 2 at Dallas. That is a clear step down from his final Draft WR21 slot and reflects what Week 1 actually showed. The Cowboys matchup can create opportunities if Washington has to throw, but matchup alone cannot fix a four-target role. McLaurin does not need a full rebound to his best seasons to beat WR28. He needs the offense to put him back into the part of the passing game where six to eight targets and intermediate or deep chances are realistic.
