Trey McBride gives Arizona an answer on passing downs that very few tight ends can match. He has caught 42 passes in five games, with 308 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He is not relying on a long score to create most of his fantasy production. The Cardinals repeatedly throw to him when the offense needs to keep a possession alive, and those catches have value even in games when the overall attack struggles.

PFM ranks McBride TE1 for Week 6 at the Rams and TE2 for the rest of the season. The important difference between him and touchdown-dependent options is the weekly volume. Eight or nine receptions can create a strong finish before he even reaches the end zone. Arizona's receiver rotation has changed, but McBride's established role should remain central. The Rams will try to limit the easy completions; until another team consistently succeeds, McBride is one of the safest tight-end starts on the board.
