McBride was one of the few Arizona players to survive Seattle's defensive control. He caught eight of 10 targets for 41 yards and scored the Cardinals' only touchdown in the 31-7 loss.
The yardage dropped sharply from his 95-yard opener, but the volume did not. McBride now has 17 receptions through two games and has scored in both. That is exactly the kind of usage that protects a tight end from bad team offense or difficult matchups. The explosive plays were missing in Week 2, but the target share and red-zone role remained intact.
