Week 1PFM Fantasy Outlook
Irving's Week 1 rushing volume was light, but his receiving role made the fantasy line work. He carried eight times for 45 yards and a touchdown against Cincinnati, then caught seven passes for 48 yards. Fifteen touches became 93 scrimmage yards because Tampa Bay used him heavily through the air.
PFM ranks Irving RB18 for Week 2 against Cleveland. The seven receptions are the most encouraging part of the opener because they can protect his fantasy floor even if the carries remain split. The concern is obvious: eight rushing attempts leave little margin if the receiving volume falls. Week 2 should show whether the passing-game usage is a stable feature or a response to game flow. If it sticks, Irving can remain a useful starter without needing traditional bell-cow rushing volume.
