Colston Loveland's six-catch game against the Jets finally showed the kind of role fantasy managers expected from him. The response in Week 5 was much quieter. Chicago finished the week with Loveland at 13 receptions and 110 yards on the season, still without a touchdown. One encouraging afternoon has not yet turned into an established weekly target volume.

PFM ranks him TE15 for Week 6 against Atlanta but TE7 for the rest of the season. The gap is a useful warning. The long-range value assumes Chicago will increasingly involve him as a regular passing-game option, while the actual production has not caught up. Caleb Williams' availability and the Bears' quarterback plan also matter, because Loveland needs a consistent connection to build on Week 4. The talent gives him a reason to remain on fantasy rosters, but starting him requires more than pointing to one six-catch afternoon. Repeated targets and his first scoring chances are the next milestones.
