Meyers played through the thumb issue and stayed on the field, but the targets disappeared. He caught his only look for 28 yards in the fourth quarter of Jacksonville's 20-13 loss at Denver.
The route participation makes the one-target game more concerning, not less. Meyers was running routes while Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr. received more of Trevor Lawrence's limited passing volume. Through two games, Meyers has three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown, so the efficiency has been fine when the ball comes his way. The question is whether Jacksonville will actually feed him. A receiver cannot rely on one target just because that target happens to produce a chunk gain.
