Gainwell's Week 2 did not create any opening in the Tampa Bay backfield. He carried twice for 10 yards and caught three passes for five more, finishing with 15 scrimmage yards on five touches.
Bucky Irving again handled the clear majority of the work, and Sean Tucker's return gives the Buccaneers another back to mix in. Gainwell can still contribute on passing downs, but three catches for five yards do not create much fantasy value when the rushing workload is only two carries. The role is now clear enough to treat him as a depth option rather than a standalone weekly play unless an injury changes the backfield.
