Washington carried his late-2025 momentum directly into the opener. He caught five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown against Cleveland, giving Jacksonville its most productive receiving line in a comfortable win. The role looked substantial enough to matter beyond one splash play.

PFM ranks Washington WR18 for Week 2 at Denver. That is an aggressive weekly rank, but it is supported by more than name value or matchup chasing. Washington led Jacksonville's receiving production in Week 1 and has already shown he can handle a larger target share when the offense needs it. Denver raises the degree of difficulty, but the current role gives him a stronger starting case than a traditional deep-league flyer. Week 2 will test whether that usage holds against a tougher secondary.
