Quentin Johnston's season has become an availability problem on top of a production problem. The Chargers list him out with a chest injury, and he did not play against Denver in Week 5. In four appearances, Johnston has caught only seven passes for 108 yards without scoring. His one 44-yard reception against Seattle accounted for much of his most recent active game. That is not enough involvement to support a regular fantasy start.

PFM still lists Johnston WR37 for the rest of the season, but he does not have a Week 6 ranking on the live page. There is no reason to force a matchup projection until the chest injury improves and his status changes. The Chargers have also struggled to protect Justin Herbert and create sustained passing production. Johnston's downfield ability leaves room for a bigger play when he returns, but his role needs more than an occasional deep target. Health and reliable targets are both required.
