Dowdle's Pittsburgh debut produced volume without much efficiency. He carried eight times for 15 yards against Atlanta and added two catches for six yards, finishing with 21 scrimmage yards on 10 touches. The Steelers won, but Dowdle never found enough space to create a useful fantasy line.

PFM ranks Dowdle RB33 for Week 2 at New England. The current role keeps him in the flex conversation, but the opener showed that volume alone will not be enough if the rushing lanes remain that limited. Week 2 is a test of whether Pittsburgh can get him into better situations and whether he can turn a similar touch count into something closer to his 2025 efficiency.
