Baltimore Won One With Defense and One With Flacco
The 2000 Ravens defense took over Super Bowl XXXV. Ray Lewis was the MVP, Baltimore picked off Kerry Collins four times and the Giants offense never reached the end zone. New York’s only touchdown came on a kickoff return.
Super Bowl XLVII went the other direction. Flacco threw three touchdown passes before halftime and Jacoby Jones opened the second half with a 108-yard kickoff return to make it 28–6. San Francisco stormed back after the power outage and forced Baltimore to win the game at the goal line.

Baltimore Had to Make One Last Goal-Line Stand
Super Bowl XLVII came down to San Francisco inside the Ravens’ 10. The 49ers reached first-and-goal at the 7 late in the fourth quarter with Baltimore protecting a 34–29 lead.
San Francisco gained two yards on first down and the Ravens forced three straight incompletions from there. Baltimore later took an intentional safety and won 34–31. A game that looked over at 28–6 ended with the Ravens needing four goal-line snaps to keep the lead.
