The Falcons forced four turnovers, protected Michael Penix Jr. well enough for him to work cleanly, and controlled the middle of the game with long scoring drives. The important change is that Bijan Robinson no longer has to carry the entire argument when Penix and the defense can create this kind of complementary football.

Bijan Robinson still matters, but this formula is much harder to stop when Penix can convert third downs without playing under constant pressure.
Penix has to keep the offense on schedule without asking Robinson to rescue every early down. Atlanta needs protection and play-action timing to give the new starter defined throws before the pass rush can turn the game into long yardage.
