NFC Playoff Picture: There are about four teams that have solidified there spot in the NFC. There are another four teams that right now don’t seem too interested in the last three spots. The Giants, Commanders, Lions and Seahawks all lost this week. Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers are all of a sudden in the playoff mix. Should be a tight race down the stretch!
Head of the Pack: A few weeks ago the Packers were reeling and really didn’t have much hope to make the playoffs. Now at 7-8 they are very much alive and are a dangerous team right now. Christian Watson has emerged as a solid target for Aaron Rodgers as well as Allen Lazard. If I’m another NFC playoff team, the Packers are a team I probably want to stay clear of.
Cowboy Up: Cowboys won a big game against the Eagles over the weekend. Granted the Eagles did not have Jalen Hurts but it was still a solid win. I don’t think you can take much from this game though, as the Cowboys will most likely have to play Philly in Philly, in the playoffs. In that game, they should have Hurts and the Cowboys are a different team away from Dallas.
Charging Ahead: The Chargers clinched a playoff spot with a convincing win over the struggling Colts. Despite winning, they need to polish up a few things especially on the offensive side of the ball. I like the Chargers but not to make a deep run in the playoffs.
With two weeks of Football left there are a lot of exciting story lines. Will the Packers sneak in the playoffs? Who will QB the Commanders for the rest of the season? Will Jalen Hurts be ready for the playoffs? Can anybody beat the Bills in Buffalo or the Chiefs in KC? These are the questions that I will be asking as we close up the 2022 regular season.
